Frightened and lost I whimper
My emptiness
My solitude
Can you see my pain?
Can you feel the emptiness that burns deep within my being?
Do my eyes project my fears?
Meaningless

You so often told me of my importance, my meaning
I sat in quiet admiration, of wonder
Pointless, obscure reasons of truth
It was always there to see, I was warned
But I had fallen
Labyrinth

My morning star, my Lucifer if you will
What had I done to deserve this betrayal?
My life, sacrificed
My heart open, exposed of all previous wounds
You’ve clenched your share
Desertion

My life, my being, the air that I breathe
You took him from me
Replaced in a moments breath
“Daddy Daddy” he calls
My heart falters
Tears

Till death do us part

goddess haste! you make me cry! this especially got me:

My morning star, my Lucifer if you will
What had I done to deserve this betrayal?
My life, sacrificed
My heart open, exposed of all previous wounds

great work sweetie!

Wow im very impressed, dont think ive read any of your writing before. I like it lots...

its so sad how some of the best work is written from such sad emotions...

amazing powerful and deep, i am very impressed by this piece of work.

Anybody that says you don't have a wonderful mind doesn't know you well.

hugs

Thank you everyone for the kind words... its been awhile that I've been able to write.

Taliana, I don't normally post my work on bluelight, cause my subject matter is quite dark, gothic and macabre and my writing style is very self indulgent - usually I'm the only one who knows what the piece is about.

Once again, thank you all :)

But isn’t this true of most writers? The pure beauty of writing is that it’s subjective, each person looks at it in a different light and takes something from it that perhaps was not there to the author.

Beautiful work, gorgeous :)

You know I've never looked at it that way, maybe my writing isn't self indulgent, maybe its just me who is.... thanks Kitty :)
