hi people.i wanna know who likes or doesnt like Dj tiesto as a Dj.but if u ask me,my reply would be that Dj tiesto is the captain when i have a trip and high!!

he is the best without any discussion.. especially just be is the most effective trance song whenever i smoke weed...!

as far as talent goes, i wouldn't know because i dont listen to a lot of trance/techno. i do, however, love his In Search of Sunrise cd which is great for smoking or any drug for that matter. very smooth and relaxing

"Search of Sunrise" i wont forget that album and certainly i get it soon..thanks for suggest..actullay i love smooth songs and thats obvious as i listen to just be..i strongly advice you to listen to "just be" if u havent tried it yet.as u like its smooth and relaxing. trust me;)

Moved from HOMELESS after DC showed no love. M&DJ mods - please fix the title, close the thread, or move it somewhere (hell, even DC if you really want to :D ) as you see best. It appears to be more about the music that the drugs, so maybe you can give it a decent discussion. Thanks.
 
DJ Tiesto is a good DJ, just not my style at all. The music HAS TO BE right in order for my high to kick in. Otherwise it's pointless.

For my money, it's Pink Floyd, all the f'n way.

Maybe some Ninja Tune.

Or some grooooovy psy/dub, wacked out post-rock, or some jazzy, bluesy, band-type jams.

some tiesto tracks are really well produced.

ttmen, if you like uplifting trance you should check out protoculture . it's beautiful morning psytrance and impeccably made as well :) shiny goodness!
 
In music/DJs there is no drug discussion allowed. I edited the thread title to reflect tiesto opinions since thats what most people are commenting on anyways.

Please dont refer to drugs/highs/trips any more within this thread. Thanks :)
 
i listened to one of his live CDs in a music store once. he kept speeding up the mix when trying to beatmatch to the next record, and then would slow things down again after the first record faded out. really weird. when i heard him live, it didn't sound like he was doing the same thing at all. but then Paul van Dyk came on after him and blew him away.
 
ok, i'm gonna bring some sense into this thread. tiesto is AWFUL. cheesy, talentless hack who cant mix to save his life. had the unfortunate experience of seeing him several years ago...the overtanned eurotrash wanker trainwrecked several times, all the while smiling and throwing his hands in the air doing the 'i'm moses parting the red sea' move.

do yourself a favor and listen to some real djs.
 
For nice mellowy chill trance check out chicane, mirco de govia isn't bad for that either
 
a while ago he was good, now hes just a pop culture icon trying to make a buck off of the trendiness that edm is becoming...
 
I can't stand anything that comes out of Tiesto. It is boring and wayyyy to cliche. I'm sorry, I just think that Tiesto, Armin, Ferry and PVD are all hype.
