Tianeptine legal to import ?

Hi all,

Not looking for sources, just want to know if its legal to import Stablon which contains Tianeptine into Aust ?

I cant seem to find a list of the prohibited items

if anyone can advise me please thanks in advance.

It's not listed on the SUSMP, the Federal legislative instrument for scheduling drugs and poisons. Importing therapeutic goods is supposed to require a permit from the TGA/Dept. of Health & Ageing though.

It's def not listed as it's not approved for use, given its structural similarities to other tricyclics it'd likely be considered an analogue, and based on that assumption considered S4.

In saying that, if you're willing to guinea pig it for the Australian Public, i highly doubt the border protection services would be inclined to stop you.
