Thumbprinting LSD

i could have sworn ive answered this question before on here but here it goes...

thumb printing: dipping your thumb into crystal lsd and applying it to your tongue. you get a huge dose somewhere in the mg range and trip for a long time.

8o Wow, I just read that thread at shroomery...

I've heard of these before...first I though these people are fucking crazy! But you know...it fascinates me...I am curious what it is like but apprehensive about trying it. I am just sitting here trying to immagine where it would take me...will I ever have the guts to thumbprint??? =D

I actually am fortunate enough to have access to a fairly large amound of acid, but it is not pure crystal. I think I would only do a thumbprint-level dose if it was an actual thumbprint, from pure crystal. I'm not interested in eating 30-40 hits of blotter or pills. Something about that just seems a little bit too much like a suicide attempt.

BTW I believe a thumbprint will be between 40mg and 120mg of LSD. These are massive doses.

And no, I'd never do it. Standard doses of psychedelics take enough of a toll on my sanity.
 
^^That between around 80-240 hits right?? at 500mics each.... wow... I don't think my balls are big enogh to take that on....
 
Well, let's just say you took a thumbprint of 100mg... which is a decent one.

Assuming an average blotter potency of 100mcg, a 10 strip would contain 1mg of pure LSD, and a sheet of 100 hits would have 10mg. Therefore a 100mg thumbprint would contain the amount of LSD on 10 sheets.

That is a lot.
 
Sounds crazy... can't imagine that people really take that much. Or at least, that so much would be on your thumb. Maybe I'm wrong.. but shit, I know people who get off on 25mcg.
 
thumbprinting has almost become part of the tripping folklore now, but I'm sure that a few lucky souls get to partake in it. I for one, would love to try it someday, of course I would need a lot of free time.

More than just free time, you would basically have to be okay to accept that you are going to be tripping for the rest of your life. If you read that thread, ChinaCat says he "never really came down" off the thumbprint and "it's scary at first but you get used to it" so yeah it's not like the print just ends.... you're going to be tripping until the day you die.

Not full on tripping, but after it wears off after a few days, you're going to be permanently in a state of mild-tripping.
 
iso240, I think he said him and 2 or 3 friends would divide up a blotter among themselves... I'm sure they had 100mcg blotters sometimes, but your question made me realize it could probably be 50-75 if the shit was strong.

Erowid quotes an active dose at 20ug. Guessing at anything else is just shits and giggles.
 
Question.. is there something like a threshold for LSD? will, wenn you took like 50 mg's of crystal taking any more have any effect, or is it just irelevant after a certain amount? I mean.. I can't imagine, that these people would trip a thousand times as hard....

Either that figure is completely wrong, I cant calculate AT ALL or your estimates of LSD amount on the thumb are way exaggerated....
