Throwing up Oxycodone

Okay first off let me start by saying I used to be addicted to morphine for a year, took about 100-175mg daily, not over the top, but enough for me.

Few days ago I received 10/750 Oxycodone pills...

I took two the day I got them, and threw up, sucked all day felt like shit.
Took two today, and I didn't throw up but I felt pretty sick untill about 5:30, still a bit sick to my stomach actually (I took it at 8:00 am).

So out of curiosity, has anyone else had this problem, Im guessing its the 1.5 grams of apap... But Im not sure, because I got sick when ever I opened my eyes , I just got dizzy and felt like throwing up... I'm 6'0 and 170 if it makes a difference.

So, my question, does anyone else get sick while taking oxycodone, and I taking to much? (I tried 10mg, felt nothing). Is this just the whole first few times of trial and error with getting back into opiates, I remember this happening a few times when i first started morphine...

Anyways, thanks for the help, much appreciated.

well do u get sick from taking 3 regular over the counter tylenols? cause 3 of them don't even do anything to me.

I certainly get sick as hell on oxy, but not usually till the day after, like when im fucked on them im pretty good, then i go home go to sleep, and when i wake up i cant get out of bed literally all day cause ill barf, thats why i stopped doin them. so yea i get sick off that shit too

maybe try taking 1.5 of the 10/750 pills you have see if u get a good effect from that, if not try eating before hand or right after u take the pills (I like donig this better), also if you have some around take some Tums or Rolaids it won't hurt and could help!

Either its because you are just beginning to start using or you are just sensitive to the drug. Actually there could be many factors as to why you're getting sick. I get sick very rarely, but it does happen and its pretty uncomfortable. Sometimes its what i've eaten reacting with the opioid or something else. I find smoking weed helps alot though.

well, I didnt eat much just a little bread to soften the blow on my stomach when I took it.

Im guessing Its because Im just starting, I dont think it would be the drug itself , but it could be , but I was addicted to morphine before, and it did start off somewhat the same...I would get sick, but just not as bad...so who knows, Ill see how it goes in a few days...

And out of curiosity, does plugging prevent or stop sickness at all, because my stomach is whats bothering me, It just hurts all day when I take oxy, it feels like i just need to throw up...for 8 hours but I cant..lol

Not sure I have no experience with that but I don't think u wanna put tylenol up ur bum :P also yes make sure you eat and are full or you will feel sick, dizzy and just plan motionsickness in general.

There are several people that seem to get this reaction, and I am one of them too.

I suspect it could be an enzyme deficiency. Do you find Codeine to be particularly heavy on side-effects?

I do and I seem to have the same problems as him sometimes, actually 30-80mg of codeine makes me feel about the same as 20-40 mg of oxy and people tell me that I am just crazy, thing is I can only get oxy and no codeine :( god I wish I could find a realiable codeine source :P

Well, Ive taken codeine twice, both times in syrup form, made me nauseated to begin, then I just got tired and slept...lol...
First two times doing opiates were Codeine, I didnt find it too sickening, but I didnt find it to pleasant either...

Surprising you didnt have trouble with morphine but oxy bothers you. For me its the exact opposite. I dont think the apap had that effect, as 1.5 grams of tylenol is far from a dangerous dose. I know Ive had as much as 4 grams and once, and while I know thats approaching organ damage, I didnt get nausea. Maybe I have an iron stomach...

Try 1.5 pills

i think its safe to plug tylenol, ive done it for years and never experienced any nausea so maybe its your tolerance levels, some people have differnt metabolisms and doesnt that effect the conversion of codeine into morphine? something to do with chromosones or something. jamshyd, i think this is your field of expertise, please explain.

you should just do a CWE to figure out if its the Oxy or the APAP thats making you puke. do a search on cold water extraction, once you do it you can swallow the pure Oxy or you can let it dry and snort it... youll probably experience much less nausea that way.

thats a good idea, plus i think plugging the liquid would be better off than sniffing the resulting powder

cwe is a good idea as a differentiator. you could also consider cimetidine an hour prior to help protect the liver from rendering the APAP into poison. i've had the barfing-from-too-much-narcotic episode -and- the barfing-from-too-much-apap episode. neither is fun, but uniquely the narcotic barfs are very bilious and bright yellow and taste like a very strong base.

At first I used to be super sensitive to oxycodone/hydrocodone. This went away in time. I really don't think the tylenol is what is making you sick. It sounds like a typical case of taking too many opiates. Try just 10mg (break one of the pills) and take something to sooth your stomach, I recommend ginger root or at least drink a lot of ginger ale. If/when you start to feel sick, lay down and stay perfectly still. The nausea usually passes.

Thats very odd that you dont get sick off morphine but you get sick from oxycodone. Usually if your gonna get sick on a opiate it's gonna be morphine.

Oxycodone doesn't cause me any nausea at all even in doses of 60mg's or so but morphine makes me slightly nauseous especially if im in a car. I nearly had to puke out a car window one day while me and my friend where driving along on a highway.

Id say it's just a case of taking too much opiates. Take a smaller dose or take a anti-nausea drug like dimenhydrinate about an hour before you take it.

actually, "usually" if you're going to get sick from an opiate it's going to be codeine, which has a more complex metabolism than morphine.
