I have been out of town 5 hours from home all day and staying the night here until the morning. Here's what I've taken today:
(Have had headaches all day and been trying to stay "feeling good" all day also and I seem to have overdone it like a complete idiot)

10am: 100mg losartan(blood pressure med), 800mg ibuprofen

3:45pm: 600mg ibuprofen, (2) 10/325 hydrocodone, 30mg adderall IR

5:00: (1.5) 10/325 hydrocodone, 10mg adder all IR

10:00: 40mg adderall IR, (3.5) hydrocodone 10/325, 600mg ibuprofen

2:30: 25mg valium

6:10: back of throat feels EXTREMELY dry so I drink some water but it seems to stay DRY no matter how much i drink, and it happened all of the sudden very randomly and I know this because I haven't went to sleep yet I just felt my throat get dry randomly as I'm watching tv. Then I feel like I have to throw up, it was expected because it's been 15 hours since my last meal and I usually throw up after a long day filed with hydrocodone and other drugs anyway... So i started throwing up.. Doesn't look bad for most of the throwing up, it was liquidy orange all the way until the end of my throw up it started looking redder and redder until I could see that it is definitely blood. Darkish blood, but blood. I'd say at least a mouthful of the red fluid. Some of it is very runny and some of it came out in little clots. Back of throat still hurt very bad and I can see it is now red and swollen back there. I am worried and don't know any doctors around here or anything that I could go to because I'm not from here and have no insurance so I can't afford anything. Anyways, seriously hope I'm not dead by the time someone replies to this. Please help..

My throat is becoming more and more swollen, red and infected looking by the minute and I can feel my uvula growing bigger and bigger making it harder to swallow and talk.

Hey man, what's with all the 800mg ibuprofen? That's like a once every 12 hours medicine. I know that contributed to you throwing up blood.

In an emergency situation, any hospital has to see you for emergency care.

Go to any hospital you can get to.
For all you know, you could of had a reaction to something .

Really, if your out in the middle of no where and you really don't know a number or where a hospital is, call 911.
Don't be shy either. Puking blood and feeling sick is no joke. Call them instead of wasting time. They have to treat you.
Don't have anything illegal on you, but don't worry about what you took either.

Reply, if you get this message, or at least later to say your okay.

Could be a bleeding ulcer from all the NSAID which could kill you. Whatever it is feeling like shit and throwing up a large amount of blood is a medical emergency. Get to a hospital. Being in debt is better than being dead.

Not sure what you expected you can't just take something or wait it out. You're puking blood.

How are you doing now Tomahawk? Please keep us posted, I really hope you had the sense to either go to a hospital or call 999, don't mess about with ibuprofen too, that will tear the stomach off you, hope you're ok. Xxx

Hey everyone, first of all thank you for the replies and worries. I went to the ER not long after posting this. Since I had a blood pressure of 215/132, a terribly swollen infectious looking throat, and throwing up blood, I really expected much more treatment than what I got.

I was completely honest with the doc about what I took and every single detail about my situation and he said that the amount of drugs i took wasn't enough to hurt me and that the blood in my vomit was just from the initial throwing up that caused "scratches" in my stomach lining and that it's nothing to worry about. He then basically just told me that the throat problem is because I just so happened to get pharyngitis at the exact time of throwing up blood.(what?)

He gave me a "gastral cocktail" to numb my stomach pain and then a prescription for some antibiotics and sent me on my way. No exams, no testing, no further questions.. I literally had to force my medical information onto him because he was trying to leave before I could even explain it all and he just kept saying that I'm fine.

I thought that it was very unprofessional but I guess what do I know because I'm not a doctor, right? I also find it weird that I haven't taken any medicine for my throat yet and it has already reduced in swelling basically back to normal, no more white infectious looking gunk, very little to no redness left, and barely any pain left at all.

My throat was so bad at first when the doctor seen it he said "oh wow" he told his intern "you gotta come see this". If it was due to pharyngitis wouldn't it take a few days of medicine before it reduced that much? My uvula went from the huge size of the tip of my thumb(and i have huge hands)right back to its normal little size. Literally 2 hours after I left the hospital my throat was back to basically normal.

I'm also still having slight pains in my stomach. For him to say all of those drugs couldn't do me any harm sounded absolutely ridiculous to me, I'm the one who did them and even I think i did way too much! He just told me "stop abusing drugs" and sent me away with his half-assed diagnosis.

Anyways, as of right now I seem to be mostly fine after making the 5 hour drive back home I just think my hospital visit was handled terribly and i seriously hope I'm not slowly bleeding out internally. What do you guys think?

I think your on the mend. You were probably a textbook case to him. Try not to read into the "'he's an asshole"part, and see it as the guy knows his stuff. I'm sure the things you do or were doing may have aggravated your situation to a point, but it is what it is now. I'd try to give yourself a break from all that NSAID stuff, and follow doctors orders.
Hospitals have nurse advice lines. If you do not feel better pretty soon or start feeling really bad, don't post. Call them or go back. I'm sure you will be fine. Great thread btw. I'm happy people were able to help you out. Now you know. If shit ever gets bad, save your time and just go to the hospital

Glad you're okay. I would still get my stomach checked out no matter what the doc said just in case you have a condition which means you throw up blood occasionally. Doctors are human just like anyone else. In this case I'm glad you went personally I always want to tell people to wait it's probably just your anxiety but that is irresponsible so I don't... but if you are throwing up blood definitely go.

^^nice post. If you have any sort of coverage OP, get your stomach checked.
I had a test done, where they sedated me, and put a tube down my throat. They were able to see everything. Get better buddy.

Have you stomach ulcers Tomahawk? Ibuprofen is not meant to be taking with any stomach condition coz it aggravates it more I'm delighted to hear you are on the mend though!???

All seems well, I haven't been to a doc since then but I definitely have been sick with pharyngitis and it's just now easing off, no more blood is coming up or anything so I think I'm now in the clear. Thank you for everyone's input, it really helped.
