Thread subscriptions

Is there a setting that automatically subscribes me to a thread when i post in it like all the other forums i frequent or do i have to do it manually?
 
fyi: i've asked lounge mods to start cleaning up threads before they move them to another forum. i was rather confused when i first read this read this thread.
