I had a thread that started in the basic drugs section and it was later moved to the other drugs area. It was labeled "methadone withrawals??", was posted apporimately on Dec.30. It was active last night but it seems to have disappeared this morning. Was there a problem? Was it pulled for some season? Is there something I need to know.
Also, I did the Inflexxion Survey but the site keeps offering it to me. Is that SOP?

Cannot see your thread, based on the description you've given.

Best bet is to contact the forum moderators directly (forum moderators can only see hidden threads in their own forum) or the senior mod with oversight in those forums.

Thanks for completing the Inflexxion Survey. The link you see at the top of the page is persistent/non-dynamic and will not disappear based on whether you complete it or not.

Thanx for your prompt reply. I was wondering, can a moderator pull any thread they want without getting a second opinion or consulting with a senior moderator or someone else? Also, I mispelled the title of that thread, it was actually this "methadone withdrawals??" sans quotation marks and could have been posted on the 30th or 31st of December.
Thanx again

Generally speaking, yes, they have that authority. It's impractical for every minor decision to be put through the hierarchy. Besides, forum moderators should know their forums better than a Senior Mod or an Admin and should know the best course of action.

Having said that, it's generally good practice for the forum mod to report the post they have an issue with or intend to remove/edit. By reporting a post, the system then creates a thread in a private staff forum where advice can be sought from relevant staff, or the decision can be discussed amongst wider staff members.

That system of internal checks and balances generally keeps the forums running smoothly and weeds out any power-tripping mods over time.
