Thizzin Vs Rollin

19 from orange county. Usually call them pills e or candy. When you're on it we call it rolling when you're trippin hard and your eyes start to roll around. Thizzin when you're rolling hard and havin a good time.

We have thousands of names here but I have yet to hear anyone say thiz/thizzin or even rolls/rolling but a few ppl say beans
I think thats more of an American thing

I'm from seattle, washington and im 18 years of age.

We call pills: Pills, E, Ecstasy, Thizz, Bombs, Skittles, Designer Drugs
We call being high on Ecstasy: Rolling, Thizzing, being Geeked up

In Seattle the hyphy/thizz culture is really well known, you will hear a lot of kids referring to ecstacy as thizz and talking about "going dumb". I associate myself with both rave and hyphy culture, because both appeal to me for different reasons. I love the PLUR moniker and philosophy found in rave culture, and I also listen to/dj all sorts of electronic music. At the same time I listen to Mac Dre and a variety of other hyphy artists, and identify myself with the whole attitude surrounding that culture. What I take away from hyphy is a positive message of wanting to have fun and feeling like you are on top of the world. In songs like "feelin' myself" and "Get stupid" rappers will talk about how good they feel while on ecstasy and having fun on the dance floor, just as ravers do. While rappers/fans take hyphy in the wrong direction with violence and other bullshit, a large part of the culture is positive and uplifiting.

However, I do disagree with with followers of the hyphy movement starting shit at raves. They are entering a scene that is not their own and should therefor be respectful of the etiquette of the scene.

I don't really know why the majority of you are hating on the word "thizz" so much. I think some of the names you guys use are straight up goofy sounding as well but that is simply because i'm not used to them. Second to rave, hyphy is the most prominent ecstasy culture around in the united states so you should probably get used to the word... haha


PS I've heard a little about "jiggin" in louisiana and the culture seems pretty cool, props to whoever was talking about it :)

call em sweeties, pills, swegers or swege (also heard beans being used it stuck to me for a while)
on we are swegered or nutted wrecked cunted etc plus an array of total randomness used to described the experience (kippered ecstified timbered lumberjacked)

ps under 20 some of my crowd are over 20 tho

under 20.. thizzin is what we call it but i here rollin in so-cal a lot too.
 
I roll when I'm sober and I THIZZZZZZ when I'm not haha (something about the word when you're rolling is just fun)

I'm trying to understand the stylistic differences that are emerging in hyphy culture. Is it a subset of general ecstasy culture? Is it is own thing? Is it fair to say that hyphy and thizz are the same scene?

I think I hate the word thiz because of where it comes from and how ghetto and dumb it sounds. Same reason hate hate when people say skittles and and other dumb shit.

i think the cultures have kinda mixed here. we throw up thizz signs and thizz faces but wear kandi, listen to trance/house/hardstyle etc., go to rave's and totally live for PLUR :)
