Thizzin Vs Rollin

The fuck, what's wrong with them intergrating ecstacy into their scene? The rave culture doesn't own it. They actually deserve credit for talking about something else than weed and spreading popularity.

If you read what they actually wrote, you would see that they didnt say that anything is wrong with them adopting ecstasy into their scene as a new drug. They said that they are coming into the rave scene and trying to integrate it as their own. The two scenes are completely different and should stay in their own respected scenes. I dont know if you're of the "hyphy" sort, but how would you feel if a bunch of ravers started coming to the events you attend, and they are dressed in a bunch of kandi (beads), with their huge parachute pants, and start talking about PLUR to everyone?

Probably wouldnt like it to much.

That's what the problem is with the hyphy crowd coming to raves, and trying to take over the scene. Shit no one cares if people from another scene come to raves to have a good time, but when they come enmass, and begin to try to act tough and start fights...then yeah...the people in the rave scene will have a big fucking problem with it. Just like they do now.

Now I'm not a raver, I used to be long ago, but as a DJ I see this happening more and more. And it's pretty disturbing to see a bunch of stupid hyphy mother fuckers trying to start shit, or flashing gang signs, or doing those stupid gang dances. Or when they come up to you in the middle of your set asking you to play some stupid ass mac dre track.

East coast, under 20, and we eat rolls or molly and subsequently roll balls and/or face. I've never heard anyone say thizz or hyphy, almost no one says beans or pills, though I did meet a kid from north Jersey at a show a couple weeks ago who kept telling me how hard he was 'jacuzzin' at the moment.

I roll on pills, beans, x, ecstasy, mdma, and e. East Coast, USA. Over 20. While rolling I am also "blowing up" and "rushing".

As for hyphy I think its pretty lame. Now if you want some hip hop beats and you want some good drugs to get really fucked up on and you want all of these things inside a club for some manner of rave event....then you don't want hyphy music you want...

JUKE, GUETTO TECH, AND BOOTY HOUSE!!!!!!!!

In terms of just music production, I think the rave and hip-hop scenes could potentially learn a lot from each other. I think culturally both scenes could learn a lot from each other as well. There's already areas where the distinction between the two are already kinda blurring, like in the Drum N Bass scene. Maybe hip-hop needs a little more peace and love, and rave needs to step its game up.

im from PA and we call them beans, rolls, e, candy (rarely)and some people call them pills but when i hear pills i think of "faders"; painpills, benzos, etc.
we roll, roll face, trip, trip balls, and i havent heard of this thizzy/hyphy thing. we go to raves, and call them parties.
also some people (usually the sellers) call the beans by whatever name they have, green buddahs, orange clovers, whatever. all i want to know is, are they good, whats in it, and how much. : )
also most of the "raverkids/candykids/e-tards"etc. that i know candyflip more often than just roll or trip. go big or go home, i guess... haha
im 20ish.

We Roll, and when its nuts your rolling face!
We eat rolls, skittles, beans.
Northeast, and Im 18
Never heard of Thizz or Hyphy until this site.

All the thizz and hyphy stuff is funny. I live in SD and you'll get laughed at if you act like that here.

I live in Ireland. Haha all this american terminology is so funny. In Ireland they are called pills, yokes or yips. There's very little in the way of real subculture apart from mainstream dance culture.

That whole bay area thing cracks me up. really the slang they use out there is hilarious.

Southern Ohio

pills are called Sal. We do the Sal Sal

Across the river in KY there beans or pills and they roll

I'm a couple years over 20

Sal Sal sounds equally retarded. I would laugh in somebodies face if I heard them use either of those terms. Whats wrong with roll, pill, E, X, Ecstasy. I haven't gone to a party in a long time but used to all the time from like 98-02 and just hearing about this ghetto thug culture getting into raves makes me angry :X . Raves culture really used to be something special and unique, a place people could go and be themselves no matter who they are, what they look like, how they dress, sexual preference, race, ect without being judge. Now there's these little ghetto kids going, trying to look cool and show off, start fights. Raves have declined since i used to go but this could definatly ruin whats left.

I was in Boulder Colorado for spring break and for my last night we decided to search for some e-pills. One girl we asked was like, "ohhh, I love thizz..." and eventually I put together that it was her word for ecstasy. She was Oregon. She had never heard the term rolling.

To me, thizz makes me think of the sound your brain makes when it melts... It sounds illegal and unsafe, and also makes me think of the drug "nuke" in Robocop II. I prefer the term rolling because it sounds positive and fun... not like your brain is melting *THIZZZZZZ*....

I am surprised to find alot of people on bluelight hate the term rollin... I always thought that was up there with "stoned" and "trippin" as being a spot on description.

"Better grab some butter, because I'm on a roll!"

anyways, I'm from the east coast and its going to be Rolling for me.

Thizzin should be used for research chemicals, or something you don't really know the mechanism of action.

we roll in the midwest... i have heard the terms thizz and hyphy but not from local people. usually just call them rolls or skittles if i am talking about them. i'm 19
