this year's NBA MVP is...

How about other awards?

6th Man - Paul Milsap

Most Improved - Paul Milsap ;)
(Special mention to Chris Anderson)

All 1st Team

Paul,
D wade,
LBJ,
D.West,
D.Howard,

James for sure but i love Paul Gasol of the LAKERS and I hope he gets the crown along with Kobe as kings of the NBA. Although that poor city of Cleveland has not won shit for sooooooooooo long. Being a Pittsburgher I should dislike the city but I never went with that junk.

^ heh, yeah! I am a life-long die hard Pittsburgh fan who truly bleeds black and gold.

however, I live in Columbus, Ohio and I root for the Cavs - mostly because I never had a Pittsburgh team to root for in basketball. and specially when LBJ came to the limelight (he's about the same age as me) I followed him a lot in Ohio high school sports and have always considered myself a big fan of his, no matter where he is.

I think it would be great for the downtrodden city of Cleveland to win a Championship, somehow, someway. it would truly do wonders for their economy, or lack thereof, and the city's morale.

I visit Pittsburgh about 10 times a year, to see family and to play shows with my rock n roll band.

since you guys don't have a NBA team to follow - do you find that you root for the Cavaliers since they are the closest NBA team in your area? or does that old, bitter, working class Pittsburgh VS Cleveland rivalry still remain too strong to allow you to root for the Cavs?

color me interested, oldhead.

Axe, I'm alot older then you. When I grew up in the Burgh the Cleveland Browns use to stomp the STEELERS. (hard to imagine, I know) We did have a basketball team in the newly formed ABA. They were called the Pipers and then the Condors. We won two ABA championships. The league folded after a few years. A guy you might remember named Julius Erving started his career in the ABA. (Dr. J) I adopted the LA Lakers as a young boy and have been an avid fan since. As much as I want the Lakers to win it all it would'nt kill me to see the city of Cleveland get a championship. Right now is a great time with the PENGUINS and LAKERS having a shot at it. Last year we both lost in the finals.
STEELERS PENGUINS PIRATES :\

Did you simply FORGET to include the greatest player in the league in your personal Top Five, or are you THAT much of a homer that you actually believe that KObe doesn't belong on the first team.

The girl he "raped" in Colorado even voted for Kobe for First Team All-NBA.

^^ I think Wade deserves to be on the team first this season and neither player plays the three spot on a permanent basis. So that was my decision.

^ Besides driving to Wyoming to get 3.2% beer? ;)

I thought they pick two guards, two forwards, and one center. At least, when they list the players, it goes "G, G, F, F, C" not "PG, SG, SF, PF, C"

Either way, I thought West plays PF, not SF.

Yes, you're right, neither 6'8" LeBron nor 6'7" Bryant is capable of playing the 3.

Winning argument!

How's Utah this beautiful Sunday afternoon?

I have lebron playing the 3 spot? I don't know what your talking about mate. West is playing the 4 spot.. Bit of confusion there?? sheesh, get a grip. It's MY opinion, it's not like i fucking give out the award.

Wouldn't have a clue how Utah is. I'm not from there.

Either Bryant or LeBron could play CENTER better than anyone named West (other than Batman's 'Adam,' of course) can do ANYTHING.

Yeah, Kanye - I'm lookin' at you!

blah blah blah, just trying to recover from your mistake.

I can only make the call from what I have seen, which hasn't been a whole heap. I'm an Aussie living in Scotland FFS =P

Umm. It's not really a contest. Lebron plays on a team with a bunch of no names and led them the best record in the NBA. Anyone who doesn't think he's the best player in the NBA must be a Kobe fan, blindly.

looks like LeBron James will be this year's NBA Most Valuable Player.

this award means a lot for him because it shows how much hard work he has put in over the years, and in the summer in the Olympics. I think that when the voting actually comes out, it will be fairly convincing.

at 24 he is the second youngest player to win the MVP. I also think that he could care less about this award, and he wants to win a championship.

thoughts?
