on some level, i probably deserve it, but consider the following in a vaccuum:
i repeatedly tell this girl that i am moving out of my current pad at the end of the month. she's broke, i'm broke, we both need a better location - why don't we move in together, is the pitch. after all, we've lived together for the better part of the last 4 years, and were separated only because she left the country for several months and had to come back and occupy her house because there were no tenants.
(i didnt live there because the location is too inconvenient).
she is like yes, no, maybe, etc. then, i tell her that i'm going to move in somewhere else for sure. and this makes her change her mind two days later. no problem, it's still mid-april at this point and we can plan ahead. then, radio silence for two weeks - enter today: i have made plans with someone else. have the apt reserved. it's cheap, but i would be renting a room. i get a call THE DAY i am bringing the deposit to this dude. she tells me she already has the apt, didnt i listen to her? i told her that i hadn't heard from her in two weeks and wasnt sure if she was still alive.
i cancel the room.
she draws a blank when i ask about electricity deposits, and tonight i learn that she hasnt even applied for the apt yet and i have no place to live in 5 days. trying to get her to fax her paycheck stub (like i did frantically, although it's not enough) is futile - she wont even call the office.
i am up to here with her at tthis point. should i tell her "fuck you forever" and just drop her completely? she's ignoring my texts after completely fucking up my plans!

That sucks, CB. If she is not so flaky when it comes to paying bills and doing what needs to be done to keep a roof over your head, I would still keep her as a roommate as pissed off as I would be at this whole mess. I only say that if she is responsible with coming up with her half.
