This NRG fad - when oh when will it die

hmmm well i reckons the bxr label is doing unreal tech trancy stuff
i reckon that stuff is unreal and could well do with a play in clubs
and.... MARK DYNAMIX DOES NOT PLAY NRG
dont mention him in same breath as fish
fish blows mega ass

When will it die you ask?
SOOOOOON...please god SOOOOON!
let us all pray...............

NRG has raped happy hard like a bitch
as well as trance and hard house
At least happy hard is just at raves (i like happy hard) and you could avoid it if you want to, whereas nrg is infiltrating everywhere!!!
DIE DIE DIE

Ha Stylin i knew u wouldn't be able to help it!!! this is just a thread motivated by ur hatred for nick fish!!!
i was at hard nrg at sos, and it was good. there was brief 10mins or so of fish's set that he fucked up on and was playing repetative crap. all in all, it was a coming together of more uplifting hardhouse with hard trance. i assure u this new hard nrg sound does not include whistles and whoo whoo's. i think it's just giving a slightly more energetic feel (faster) and techier sound (slight).
whatever, i consider most of hi nrg, the shit that is played in the mercury moocho- very unimaginative. hey does dj choooooooooos still play there? what a dickhead!
well that's it really. ll

Amen to that Brother.

You can kick the monkey all you want...but what do you do when he wakes up?

stylin: dont get me wrong i think mark is an excellent dj. i mentioned him with fish for a good reason. case study:
i saw mark warm up for stacey pullen and he played a wicked tech house set. funky and housey. but if i go see him at utopia, any money he'll be playing the same fucking uptempo tech trance voodoo bullshit that nick and jumpin jack have been banging all night (ok... maybe its not nrg but its just as bad).
he definitely deserves to go in the same bag as nick fish, peewee and jumpin jack in this respect. they change their style when playing to a younger audience, thus proliferating the spread of the cheese.
mark: keep it techno, dawg, keep it techno!
p.s. last time i was at sublime mr fish put some techno on (albeit the cheesy wack ass mf variety), but coming after 2+ hours of the usual trancy rubbish it didnt raise my opinion of him too much.
voodoo boys: buy some new records! housetrancetechno? pfft. should be trancetrancetrance or cheesecheesecheese

mark still does well, i dunno, i havent been to sublime @ home for frikken ages, that place bores me to tears
mark plays wicked techno
but he does play hard trance well
i have absolutely no respect for the voodoo lot now, they may as well be wild fm dj's

I'd gladly keep Hard Nrg alive if we could kill my most hated genre.....
Happy Hardcore...ewwww dat stuff shits me in a big way!!!!! It drives me insaaaaaaaaaaaane *LOL*
Gimme Hard NRG over HH any day!!!!

would you call stuff like six days happy hardcore ??? how could you hate that ???
pfffft happy hard is cool as
did you hear paul holdens set @ once upon a time???
arghhh I LOVE THAT SHIT!!!!
as long as treat as what it is
and have lots of goee hehehe

I'm just so fucken surprised that ppl know the difference between NRG and Hard House. If you go to the supposed DJ/Music forum they don't know shit about the differnce. Anyway more Hard House at the big events to much trance for my liking (Yes I like Trance just not at every big event).
------------------
Huh,...What,...Who,....Dude I can't here a fucken word your saying.

airwalk: you should move to sydney, thats generally all you hear at events, hard house all over the shop, but mostly its fucken gay nrg house (and cheesier dave holmes, jon dentist stuff, i wish they played deep trauma, praga kahn, piccotto kinda stuff), except at frantic, where theres only one nrg dj (mickey d, who sux! and bumps up the pitch on nrg and makes it sound even gayer)
IMO opinion the big sydney dj's (when i say big, i mean the glamour pusses from sublime & plastic) are very boring (at events), all they do is mix one song into another
eg. pee wee, nik fish, jumpin jack, bexta, nervous (is not THAT bad, but still predictable and blase)
their sets are so predictable. always hardhouse, powertrance, nrg and the same tracks always. people like them, cause they play the tracks they like (and fair enough, i guess i expect something more from dj's, prolly cause im into the idea of dj'ing rather then just enjoying the tracks they play)
and the fact that they play nrg now, just friggen sucks, and if they play trance, they play it too fast and it just fucken sucks.
once jumpin jack played imperiale - mauro piccotto and it was tooo fast and just sounded shite compared to as it woulld at a reasonable pitch, as it is an unreal song
thats why you'll never catch me anywhere near sublime main room (last fri was an exception and i didnt have fun hehehe
smile.gif
i left early cause the dj was playing so crapola, im a picky fucker, well not that picky, i just cant abide poor track selection and blande boring mixing. you'd have to be off your face to get into the main room music, cause being straight you just realise how poor the actual music and mixing is.....
I LOVE TO RANT!

Yeah but Stylin you can't put Hard House, NRG and Hard/Power Trance into the same bucket they are all very different (Although NRG did spring from Hard Trance). I will say though that Nick Fish, Pee Wee and Bexta are all rather ho hum (As is Nexus in Melbourne). When you hear a good Hard House DJ (ie Kane, Griff, Ben K etc {For reference Melbourne Frantic crew I assume you get them in Sydney as well}) will absolutely rock your world and make you wanna dance. But there is nothing better than the industrial edgy sound that comes from Hard House, the darker the better. Saying that I aslo like Psy Trance and Acid anything for pretty much the same reason. I like my electronic to sound evil. Bwhahaha.

Just a point on Mark Dynamix and Utopia.
Saw him play at the last one.
Started the set hard as nails. Played soe very nice techno for about 45 mins, then went into the cheesy sublime fare.
Still it was a good set for mot of the time.

I really, really hate happy hardcore, but sometimes the speed is sick, it's just that all of that gay piano sounding effects shit me to tears.
Is there such thing as unhappy hardcore / angry hardcore / evil hardcore???
if there is, can you let me know who does it, so I can look 'em up on Audiogalaxy
