    Welcome Guest!

This is where the Los Angeles Rave Scene is going.

no chewing gum, eh? Massives are such a fucking joke. So is the ignorance in that newscast. It's not worth getting worked up over anymore. What the girl from vegas said was fine. You CAN get E in a rave. It WILL always be there.

That's the point.

No amount of regulation is going to stop that and if you ban raves, they'll just go underground -- again >.>

And heres me thinking the girl died from overheating because water costs like 8 coins a bottle.

Maybe if they didn't have to pay for like 3000 door staff and metal detectors and shit they could sell water at a proper price.

Ehh.. I always thought it was because of the overpriced, overhyped DJs and insanely huge venues. EDC used to be so much more awesome than w/e it was they showed in that video =P

i cant believe that chick.... like seriously? i have never been to a cali rave but i hear that they are incredible but by the looks of it and the videos ive seen they look overpacked , overpriced and overkandied out haha

I had fun at EDC. It was a positive change from the small parties I typically go to in the NW that are less than 1000-2000 attendees. I wouldn't want to do a massive like every month, but I still had an amazing time.

I don't think that there's anything wrong with kandi. I don't wear much but it's a social aspect of the rave scene, it's how people express themselves at raves. TBH I'd much rather go to a rave and deal with kandi-ravers sucking on binkies and experience PLUR than go to a dance club where everybody thinks they're better than you; where you have to deal with drunk assholes and sluts in mini-skirts that wear more make-up than a typical clown. There's nothing like PLUR at a danceclub.

no such thing as too much kandi <3 Have a little respect for self-expression -- that's part of the rave experience :D

I'm pretty sure that it's not quite that ideal at a massive, though =P Massives are thrown by promoters looking to cash in on an unknowing public. I have no issues with massives getting media heat other than it making a bad scene for the rest of us.

Thirded on the no-such-thing as too much kandi. It's cute, and kinda highlights the leave-your-ego-at-the-door vibe of raves because of how silly little plastic beads actually are.

Wow, that's pretty lame. I don't like massive raves. What I have to say about the girl at EDC, is that her parents should have had a responsible party go with her. Kids think they're invincible & ecstacy is nothing.

MDMA may not be nothing, but ecstasy can be absolutely anything. People just need to get to the heart of the problem =P

Eh, young and naive. I don't like going to massives, but I tend to go to one once a year or so. It's a good vibe as long as you are prepared for it.

it's worth the experience, I suppose. The smaller ones have a better chance of giving the classic "rave" experience, though, imo.

Damn, the news in the states can be so funny sometimes. It's pretty obvious how they always try to portray something in manner that the majority of the population would find appealing. The news essentially has become a joke, instead of reporting, they just tell people exactly what they want to hear.

Do you not have proper raves in the USA?

All raves I see mentioned are just events?!

Now that is a fucking rave. 4000 people crammed in an abandoned warehouse, no officials, free to get in, free to party however you like.

Wow, that looks sick! Must have been a nice party. That's exactly they kind of event that I'd like to go. Just people chilling/rolling, good music, good atmosphere.

I am pretty sure they have events like that in the States but they are all ultra-underground. I think people who know anything about partying tend to associate raves with stereotypical cali events like EDC and such.
