so took 3 hits. then took my risperdol. not only am i not tipping my anxiety is so high i feel like id rather be dead. any thoughts

risperidone is a fairly unpleasent drug in and of itself. Your anxiety may be akasthesia from the risperidone. risperidone is a drug that completely stops LSD through its blockade of 5HT-2A. Riseridone is the classic trip killer.

If you got some benzos I'd suggest taking them. Or than that, your are just gonna have to try and make yourself comfortable. Drink some tea, set up some chill music and ride it out.

If the anxiety is akasthesia from the risperidone (can not sit still, feeling like you want to jump out of your skin, need to move & pace) the anti-cholinergic effect of diphenahydramine (benedryl) offsets akasthesia. benedryl might also help with getting sleep. Did you take the risperidone because your trip was getting bad? Are things mostly better now? No need to do more than 50mg of benedryl to ofset akasthesia and get some sedation if the anxiety is akasthesia.

Edt:"then took my risperdol" you take risperidone regularly rather than this once because of the LSD? The risperidone is equivalent to an LSD antidote in a big way. It blocks LSD from doing LSDs essential thing. At most I think you will get a little body high but no real trip. I'm sorry, I didn't consider that risperidone might be a art of your regular routine.Akasthesia probably isn't the thing if you are risperidone experienced. I'm sorry to say though risperidone plus LSD usually equals very little trippiness or effect with LSD. Its unlikely you will have much effect at all using risperidone w/ LSD.

Risperdall is weird because it will end your trip but it's also known to amplify the effects of HPPD or flashbacks when you're off the drug.

Anticholinergics can also cause akathasia, so proceed with care. Chamomile tea would be good :)

Risperdal sucks in general. At one point, I was on a lot of meds regularly and a high dose of Risperdal. Everytime I went to bed I would expect to be out for 12 hours at least.

yeah that was a bad idea i ended up falling asleep but yes, i did feel like i wanted to jump out of my skin. horrible experience

Anti psychotics and hallucinogens dont mix well...... you could eat 20 hits of potent blotter while on Zyprexa or Risperadal and barely feel a thing

I would suggest adding anti-psychotics to a trip only in an emergency. I used to have an old drug book that warned against ever doing anti-psychotics with what they called STP, is now called DOM. Among newer 2nd generation APs risperidone is the only one that has rigidity and and akasthesia as prominent problems (extra-pyrmidial side effects). Psychiatrists treat akasthesia by switching drugs, lowering dose, or adding anticholenergics (cogentin, benedryl), beta-blockers (like propranolol) or benzos like lorazepam or kpins.

Most panic moments while tripping are very transitory and you can shake them off. Working yourself out of a scary point in a trip is one of many things you do while tripping that tends to give you some valuable insights in your non-trip life. I think to many people go into trips ready to pull the plug if it gets a little unpleasant. It can sort of create an self fulfilling prophecy effect and lead to way premature use of trip suppression methods. I like benzos for a bit of panic much more than APs. I'd also use an AP w/o akasthesia as a prominent effect if I was going to have APs on hand.

I'm most in favor of just riding out occasionally dark or stressful points.
