The war on drugs is a resounding failure!
Think about it for a minute you have come here to an internet message board to learn about something that your regular life has not prepared you for. You have come here to gain knowledge on a subject that many consider taboo, but how unfortunate is that, especially when many who choose to use this substance are in fact using it to relieve some type of ailment in their life.
I could be considered a medical marijuana user…
That is if the state that I lived in recognized the ability for cannabis to be used in a medicinal sense. I could also be a medical cannabis user if I felt the strong enough need to justify my drug use to the outside world by receiving a third parties recommendation and or validation for my actions. However I am a very well educated responsible adult who does not feel as though my actions need permission or justification by anyone. I have taken the time to educate myself and I take full responsibilities for my actions, I just wish I did not have to live in fear of persecution for simply trying to live a more comfortable, happy and pain free life. I am tired of having to deal with the unfairness and injustice of this situation as are many others.
Maybe you are too?
Please take three minutes out of your busy day to do one simple thing watch the video that I have posted on YouTube on the link below. This video is not for or about me it is for all of us; it is for every person who suffers through the injustice and ignorance that is prohibition.
Unfortunately I do not think that some silly video posted on the internet is really going to end the war on drugs or have any real political impact. However I do believe is that there is a tiny percentage of a chance that if I post this in enough places in one day that enough people will see this video to get it on the front page of YouTube, if it gets there and stays there, it could be another chance for it to gain more publicity and possibly make it into main stream media. I do believe that legalizing cannabis is enough of a hot political topic for this to gain a little momentum and possible be the tipping point for what could be a monumental change.
Please for your freedom, for my freedom, for the lives of your children and grandchildren lets all get together, if only for a day and only a few minutes to speak out in favor of positive change for the betterment of all humanity.
Thank you!

What about all the other illegal drugs apart from marijuana?

They should all be equal.

^ agreed list should include MDMA, LSD, Naturaly occuring plants and extracts eg:salvia and payote, (some of these would be of course for medical purposes),and of course mushrooms, they did it in ansterdam... But id rather see alchohol and ciggerettes, the most dangerous and poisionous of alll the shit out there taken away, a tad hypocritical maybe leave em there with the big warnings about the dangers on alchohol like they do on the ciggerettes. Leagalised weed could be for eating only, there goes the health issues:\

I like the project, just feel that it could be encompassing MDMA and LSD in Piticular into regulation.

^^ dunno about that one brah..

I don't think that any drug is better than another drug.

It's hypocritical to say "Marijuana should be legal but not LSD" or whatever other drug.

Sure some drugs have more potential addiction than others just as some have worse health implications than others.

I believe that an informed adult should have the choice to ingest whatever chemical they feel like provided it does not impact or harm another person.

If I wanted to use heroin I'm sure I could go out and find some. Fact is I don't want to use it and even if it was legal I wouldn't use it. Same as I wouldn't smoke weed if it was legal. i don't like the effect it has on me.

Prohibition does not work and is not the answer. People will always use drugs. It's how that use is managed/regulated that is the most important.

WOW! You guys in AUS are far more interested than your american counter parts! i find it so frustrating and stupid that people dont see that we need to take responsability for ourselfs as a comunity and create a real system that works. If you check out my site not just the video you will see that this pretains to all drugs, we will never gain the bennifits of legalization without that. cannabis is just the most socially accepted and easy to swallow for the masses and thats why i mention it in the video.

we need to create a culture that fosters education and harm reduction. we should be able to buy any product we want of known quality a gcms certificate to ensure that and we should be provided the proper education prior to making the decision to use any substance, that means learning how something will effect your body and mind before using. there are so many people that love this life and these things that have the potential to help or hurt, lets alow these people to live productive lives and help society, not make them criminals and try and ruin there lives at the expence of our selfs.

legalizing drugs would lower addiction, lower crime, lower death rates and keep kids away from them. hopefully im preaching to the chior here but if you dont know educate yourself! knowledge is power!

^ dont be fooled... ignorance runs rife amongst the sheep here in australia also... I started a cause here thats worldwide, and ive got like 200 people in the country interested in something that concerns EVERYONE. It's sad but a lot of people are fucking stupid or just dont care... I can relate to the frustration of screaming a message @ everyone, and having few take notice and of those few only one or two will get it. Keep up the good fight ova there hey:)
I for one will be looking into rallies and protests in the future towards these goals here, sadly i cant say i will hold my breath untill the laws are rectified:|

Nice work indeed OP. I live in the bible belt and in my state you can't even buy beer on Sunday. I don't drink anymore, but I imagine there are a lot more DUIs on Sunday than in a state like California for example. Just increased revenue for the county or city...

As long as the fish are biting, who really cares. I will smoke weed when I want to regardless if it is against the law or not.

Good on you for keeping the faith, but seriously don't put your life on hold awaiting the answer you only dream of.

in the state i live in you cant buy any alcohol on sundays. which i think is pretty silly since you can buy it any other day...
i will continue to do all that i do, im a criminal every day of the week, i just wish that were not the case, as i dont hurt people and have never even stolen a candybar, but i have had my share of armend government employees out to get me and not only in the USA.

this was sort of an experiment, it makes so much sence and is painfully odvious but people are blinded by ignorance, i suspected that, and i expected that nothing would come of this. I did it at the .000000000001% chance that it might work, i also did it so that i could know the truth, i didnt think that people really wanted to do what it takes to make the world and their lives better, all they really want to do is complain, and feel bad about what they think they want and dont have.

^Sadly the second paragraph is all too true:(
HOWEVER.... I bielieve that it aplies to only 97% of humanity. There are the few of us out there who see things for what they are, and it sucks. Not being able to get thru to people the need for drastic change. Ur experment may look to be somewhat of a fail, but @ least ur out there trying, and i also bielieve that you will find a few here that have the same world view, it just sucks that most of the population is blindly following commercilisim, vanity, and greed. The way the wealthy elite want it. People like us are a thorn in thier side but not a big one, Educate, Re-educate, Shake people while you tell them things, my aproach is "Are you fucking crazy or what?? Can you not see what is happenng and where we are headng?" Movements are already in action to make the change one example is the Uncut movement that is now worldwide and if you look up the UK chapters, ul find there stirrin shit up all over the place. Dont give up, we may..... Just may see some transition in our lifetimes, Its the kids that need to be un brainwashed also as there the future and maybe with greater masses will bring about a period of change for the better. All ya can do is put it out there:\

I've done my share of drugs - and in my personal experience the one which has done the most damage is weed - i now have 'schizophrenia' from it and have been on psych meds for 15 years, and is looking more and more like i'll be on them forever. Three years of heavy pot use did that to me. However i've been using meth for 14 years and have experienced no direct harm from it at any stage, and in fact it is a far more reliable and effective anti-psychotic for me than any of my medications have been. Meth is the only substance which CURES my condition completely, allbeit for a short duration. You'll probably say that my meth use has contributed to not getting off psych meds and made my condition worse, but i really don't find that to be the case. I feel flat and tired after meth but never paranoid or psychotic.

My point is that different drugs do different things to different people. Choosing which ones to legalise is nearly impossible. Moderation and harm reduction are the keys to successful drug use, but there will always be some poor bastard who for whatever reason loses their shit due to drugs. Genetic screening to diagnose predisposition to medical conditions especially mental illness would be really helpfull.

I agree with medical marijuana but i think it needs to be treated gently in case, like me, it doesn't agree with you. I have seen weed really mess some people up, whereas others can smoke daily for years and years and not suffer at all. I would do anything to go back in time and tell myself to stop or cut down on the weed before I got sick. And if i had known then that i would be 'sick' for the next decade and a half i would've considered ending it all to stop my suffering. These days I tell any newcomers to marijuana to just be careful and listen to any early warning signs, and also check their family history for mental illness - as in my case it does run in my family. I loved smoking but it wasn't worth all the pain i've experienced since i got sick.

Cheers

man, sorry but I really dont think every illicit drug on the market should be legalized and controlled..

and the whole heroin thing is not a good example.. don't know about over east, but in WA, the smack scene is a very tight, secretive community of drug users.. it's rarely spoken of and 'heavy users' usually keep their mouths shut about their habbit.. unless you personally knew someone close to you that is currently using, your chances of scoring some are litterally nil..

so if curiosity ever did kill the cat for ya, well tough titties because your not gonna just go find some at your local pub/club..

but if your opinion was ever a reality and anyone (18+?) could go pick up some heroin for no real good reason, legally, there's a good chance (if you like it) that little spark of curiosity could turn into a full blown opiate addiction 8)

this is just an example from what you said.. I could go on for a couple more paragraphs but I needs to go..

People that take drugs piss me off.
They have no right to.
Goddamn it, there NEEDS to be laws made so taking drugs is illegal and you get locked up for it.
yeah, fuck drugs..

I mean..

fuck yeah, drugs %)
