jeez, idk after reading about it, i'd rather methadone or i cant believe im saying this but, subs over that... fuck the liberals, i'm happy with cocaine, when're they gonna start treating the folks hooked on that properly, although the fact that adderall can achieve positive results in this catagory *(yes this is off-topic, one word, amps.) so anyone that has had a coke issue and used amphetamine, but one has to accept that the drug isn't everything, their nice, and relieve us of certain things but its possible to break free, chemical aids can help in thregar

Yeah Ibogaine is garbage. I know multiple people who took it in desperation to get off of opiates and they all wound up relapsing and were worse than before getting heavier into their addiction to opiates and becoming addicted to other drugs both hard and soft.

honestly ^ this it's saddening to admit, but i'm nothing if not honest, so i will, i never enjoyed cocaine as much and remotely as often as i do now, why you might ask? because its all that works for both pain and wd, so in order to cut down from my 500mg/day i absolutely need a substitute or something to assist, and unfortunately that substitute has been a shitload of crackcocaine

for the record though, crack doesn't do it for me when i've taken my meds, in all actuality i rather not use it at all with my meds and rarely do

Adderall is just the best. Not even a hard drug and it makes me feel better than anything lol!

Thank you for that information. I just got diagnosed with narcolepsy and they want me to use stimulants and GHB!
I am pretty scared. I have never taken stimulants. I have only snorted a line or two of cocaine like three times in my life.
I am trying to learn about adderall and stuff so I can get the best one.

I do think it is good that there are people at least working on something “out of the box” thinking for this problem.
it is a huge problem and lots of people are suffering just unimaginable pain! Not to mention life wreckage.
and treated like scum!

This award winning specialist I have found told me “ you know there is a huge opiate crisis, that is because there is a SLEEP crisis.”
Did you guys know that doctors get ZERO training in the area of sleep? Yeah, zero! Sleep is a huge part of being healthy and it causes chronic pain, fibromyalgia etc. when you are not sleeping right.

Painful one, I assume you're aquianted with opiates lol.

Adderall is strong. Any stimulant is very strong in my opinion. If you're on low dose though, it could help you without the craziness of crashes and OCD/paranoia. I'm already a really meticulous person and somethings it makes me sit around thinking about my ex for three hours lol. Opies are really way more consuming and addicting by far, but the effects of addy is a bit more apparent.

The up feels very similar to opiates (to me), but there is an obvious crash and on high doses the crash is hell. Adderall can be a bit drying for the skin too, so lotion plz. I think finding adderall to be "too good" is mostly a me thing. Obviously addicts like stimulants like adderall/ritalin, but the majority would find opiates to be way more consuming and addicting.

yes, I am well acquainted with opiates. I am on morphine now! I told him there is no way I can get off it at this point. I am physically dependent after ten years of taking it! He wants me to try to not take just the nighttime dose so he can give me GHB.
I am pretty freaked out by that.

He is having me taper off clonazepam right now and has given me like as much Gabapentin as I need. I’m getting pretty comfy on the Gabapentin. It seems to have a bit of a speed like effect but also kind of like a benzo effect too. I have more energy and that is good.

He is talking about adderall and stuff like that to me. I guess I’m going to be speedballing It now. Lol! 😃

One thing to know--stimulants diminish the "high" from opioids so don't take more than your usual dose I think.

Adderall and painkillers for the crash is my most addicting habit. I've done it too many times in the past two years... in their own right I specifically find those two to be the only addicting substances on earth provided I'm not down to do heroin or meth.

Painkillers work great for covering up the adderall crash and you can still be in an elevated mood. Man just thinking about it makes my mouth water... I've always had horrible depression periods for a couple hours after their highs down but you reap what you sow lol. (I have a script for adderall btw)

DAMN! I am scared to death at what this doctor is suggesting. But I am disabled like I am now and he says this would totally transform my life. I don’t even want to add anymore medication! At all!!

I appreciate the information.

I am just going to take this real slow. I already just had 40 shots of Botox in my face, head, and neck yesterday!
fuck, I am scared. I have my brother who is a research doctor coming with me to every appointment so he can tell me what he thinks.
I am totally counting on him to not let me get completely fucked over!

I don't think this can be done in desperation and have any effect... The addict has to afford some kind of civilized environment where people understand the ibogaine treatment. Doing DXM alone is already stressful enough when you know that you'd be helpless in that condition if something abnormal happens, and it doesn't have any effect on other drug use, at least for me.

By 'desperation' I mean that they had already tried getting off of opiates every other way via methadone, suboxone-when it became available, cold turkey, etc. The ones who successfully quit opiates did so by completely cutting off contact with dealers, drug buddies, etc. and moving to a completely new area where they knew nobody, and opiates and hard drugs were super expensive, and realised that they had to stop completely using them and could never use them again.

These people are not that into computers like Gen Z/zoomers/millennials are, and are Gen X'ers like myself who have zero interest in procuring drugs via the 'dark web' and we are no longer into any drugs.

well done!
That is a brave and hard thing to do.
I am proud of you! 👍

I assume you are female lol? Of course there are many female addicts but they don't seem to as often have the "omg let's see how high I can get despite consequences" thrill factor as much within them.

Plus most people don't find adderall to be that good. It's abnormal to not be able to leave it in a drawer and just take more and more lol

yeah I am female. I sent you a message on that. Lol!

Really I am trying desperately to just control the medical issues I have. I’m not trying to get high at all.
I’m trying to be open to treatment but dang the treatment this doctor is suggesting could leave me majorly messed up forever, so I am concerned.

I really hate stimulants so I don’t think I will have a problem with that.
Thank you for the information.

Sorry for de-railing your thread KS78.
My apologies.

I appreciated the help. I was freaking out about the “treatment” I am facing.

This is a good thread though. Very interesting about research doctors developing an “Ibogaine” treatment For the Opiate problem.
I hope it helps people!

If anyone has any ideas on what kind of drug would be helpful to this opiate crisis let me know.
My brother is a research doctor. He is currently working on a cure for aids!
I would be happy to run any ideas by him though for the opiate problems that ALOT of us are facing.
Myself included!

Morphine is a cure all for opioid crisis related problems in life. Got an opioid crisis? Take some morphine.

There is no 'cure' for opioid abuse. People abuse them because their lives are shitty. Make peoples' lives better and worth living sober, then opioids won't be needed. It's so fucking gosh darn simple. No need for ibogaine or any other weird cocktail mixture of cures.

Thank you so much!

Be careful with the gabapentine, it’s like superglue and you will have physical and psychological problems when coming of.

Look I've been fucking around with drugs for 30 years. I've probably taken most kinds you can think of and it's no joke. People take drugs for all kind of reasons from all walks of life,if its medical like for painful one then there is a legitimate need.

As you get older and further into drug addiction you'll see, there are no happy addicts,it makes your problems and life worse...That's the truth ladies and gentlemen. Also how many old addicts do you know? I've had over ten friends die,its not just them but also friends and family who are effected. I've been a complete cunt at times because of drugs,It changes personalities and brain chemistry.

It was only yesterday I found out another friend had died,he was off his head, fell in a duck pond and drowned. Methadone and Buprenorphine are not the answer, they're just band aids. So I welcome any research into drugs that can stop addiction in its tracks. The success rate with Ibogaine is very high, there are enough testimonials on the web to see. Why live in the shadows on a lower vibration? Being treated like scum and acting like scum because you cant stand looking in the mirror, its no life.

There was a time when I raged against the norm, fuck em all and let's get fucked...Let's have our kicks before the whole shit house goes up in flames mentality. Who was I kidding? Isolating myself from life and slowly destroying who I really am. There's an old saying "you are your own worst enemy."

As for painful one, your Dr seems to dish out the drugs. I know you need certain ones but seriously GHB? Ask the Dr for Pregabalin instead of Gabapentin and Morphine makes you much more sleepy than say oxycodone. How about Adrafinil for the narcolepsy? Aderral is a cocktail of amphetamines including methamphetamine. Your Dr sounds like Theodor Morrell pumping you full of uppers and downers. I hope your brother can help you with your decisions. I'm just thinking of your long term health, physically and mentally.
