All he did was tuck one tiny marijuana bud inside his helmet, but the action was enough to cost a Florida police officer his entire career. Fellow Winter Haven police officers said they saw their colleague nip the bud while they were conducting a seizure of about 250 marijuana plants from a grow house.

Ricardo Flores, 36, arrived on the scene where the plants were being loaded into a city pick up truck to be hauled to the police station. He was serving as a motorcycle cop, and was not an official part of the investigation. Other officers reported that they saw him taking the tiny bud from the truck and attempting to keep it under his hat.

Dumb hypocrite knows how it feels now. Cops should be punished 3x harder for any crime they commit, but I generally think that their lives should be made more difficult because I hate them more then I hate anyone else.

Now I understand that you don't care for police, but hating them means that you exert and necessary amount of energy on them and they control your emotions in an unhealthy way. Not ragging on ya, just don't let those fools control your heart :-)
 
good, this guy SHOULD lose his whole career
if you wants to bust people for smoking, yuo best not smoke or sell yourself
 
you're assuming that the cop was one of those greasy pigs who pull bs searches and patdowns. He could have just as easily have been one of those guys who sees a joint and turns the corner.

hopefully he'll become one of those Cops for Cannabis (or whatever it's called) guys and support legalization.

I don't let it control me, but I hate them. They're actually one of the only groups of people I can honestly say I hate. They've just done too much to fuck up my community and the lives of my friends, family and self for me to not hate them. Their existence is an insult to my dignity. I hate them in the way that a citizen of an occupied country must hate the occupiers.

I do community work and work with ex-cons and stuff like that, to try and build what the police try and destroy. My dislike of cops is a very small part of what I do and think about, don't think that I'm some psycho consumed with rage all the time, letting the police control my heart.

I don't exert any energy into hating them. Hate is a cathartic emotion sometimes, in my mind. My hatred of the police helps me get up and do things to try and counter act what the fucked up American justice system does. It helps to keep me motivated in a way. Although in the end love must be one's primary motivation, it helps to live in a balance. There are few I hate, but I can honestly say I hate the police.
 
It sucks to lose your job over something as stupid as a little pot, cases like this are great because they force segments of society like cops who don't usually get that to understand how retarded it all is. (though they are a bit thick headed down in florida..)

...but fuck cops, if anyone actually deserves to lose their job over a small amount of pot, it's certainly these storm trooper assholes making a living ruing good peoples lives.
 
if I was a cop and raided a place with 250 plants id be like "Yee... we only found 50 plants".
 
You guys rag on cops way to much. Yes a lot of them are complete assholes. But have you ever lived in a town wit the population of less then 1500? Where the cops are bored and corrupt as fuck? One of them smokes weed. Fails his UAs and the other cops look the other way. Then this same cop plants a roach in my friends car. Also searched my friends car wit out his consent. Im just sayin if you live in a city you shouldnt be as afraid or hatefull of the cops there compared to small town cops wit nothing to do...

Yo I feel bad for this guy. I'm definitely as anti-cop as most of you, and probably more so than some just due to personal experiences. As someone who enjoys drugs I understand where the animosity towards law enforcement comes from, but really, he lost his whole career over this? It was just a little nug!

Before everyone is so quick to say "fuck him" remember that there are plenty of chill cops out there who aren't fucking power-hungry dicks trying to bust pre-teens over a little weed. Has anyone ever been let off of a speeding ticket with a warning? I can easily rattle off multiple times where law enforcement has caught my friends with weed, made them throw it away (yes, throw away, not even confiscate it) and let them off with a warning. I can say the same about cops catching kids with alcohol and making them simply pour it out.

I understand that I might get hated on for sticking up for "chill cops", but since we just lost that dude I can guarantee 10 pricks coming fresh out of police academy would love to bust us all over for simple possession. Not to mention that this guy might have a family to support.

Just my 2 cents.
 
Cops are just doing their jobs... Some of them like to get high and drunk just like the rest of us.

Is it right? Nope. It makes them rat fink sons of bitch snitches.

My uncle is the Sheriff of a large city, and at Thanksgiving dinner, he said that he couldn't wait until he retired so he could light up a fattie on the beach.

My entire family was shocked, due to the fact that he is the city's Sheriff, and just said that.

the ass hole cops are in the lower economic areas.

which is not on accident. people need to "learn their place", as far as established collective authorities are concerned. power aggregation enforces this naturally through all of our collective actions and beliefs.
