Thinking of Being a Tattoo Artist

I was thinking of being a tattoo artist. My 2 questions are:




1. What materials do I need to get Started?


2. The tattoos that I have are where you cant see them. Is it a problem that I am clean cut?

I have no tattoos or experience tattooing. Several friends and acquaintances that I know have many, some with actual experience tattooing themselves. What you need above all is skills. You really have to be very versatile and well-rounded as an artist, unless you only want a certain type of clientelle which will obviously affect your overall business. There have been many people I have known try to get into this field of work, some successful others not so much.

I do not think being clean cut should be an issue but I suppose it depends who you talk to.
