Things you do that people don't understand

Also, I tend to sigh a lot because I'm trying to get a good breath, and people assume that I'm sighing because I'm really shitty about something. I'm not, but people don't believe me when I say I'm fine!

omg! me too! It drives my boyfriend nuts... I just sometimes feel like I need to get air in my lungs. I think that I sigh to clear my head before starting something new.

Haha, at least you understand!!

^^ Haha yeah me too. My boyfriend has now learnt that I don't sigh because I'm angry/upset/frustrated etc. It's just because I need more air in my lungs! =D
It took countless times of:
Me: *sigh*
Him: "What's up?"
Me: "What....nothing...why?"
Him: "You sighed"
Me: "Oh I just needed more air!"

I love spiders. I think they are really cool creatures and I can't understand why people are so scared of them. I'm buying a pet tarantula tomorrow and my roomates threatened to kick me out :) haha.

Making a point to hurl myself into peril to aid people. (I mean on the street, breaking up fights or stopping a jacking in an alley) cause I enjoy the rush and aint afraid the outcome.

I like drinking water straight from my faucet because I think it tastes better than from a glass.

I hope you have one of these: Spountin - The Faucet Fountain

I had one of them that was actually just a plastic tweety face and the water came out of tweety's mouth. Sounds weird, lame and sort of gross but it was none of the above! It was magic! =D

I love going to stripmalls, or shopping centers and going into every store, walking around in it, and maybe purchasing one item from it. Even if it theres similar stores like a CVS and a Ralphs in the same center, I'll buy a drink from the cvs and after wandering around for a while, I'll walk through almost all the isles in the Ralphs and get a bag of chips or something. It's better if the stores are more interesting, like arts/crafts stores but I just like seeing all the people doing their thing, maybe chatting with a few people, picking up something i could use later on maybe. i also love talking shit on capitalism.

yea....

if i genuinely can't make up my mind about something i'll flip a coin and commit to the result. people are always reacting "how can you make a decision like that?!" as if it actually mattered

^ related reading: the dice man

i like chocolate but i do not like chocolate flavoured things such as chocolate ice-cream, chocolate cake and hot chocolate. many of my friends and many new people i meet think it is absolutely crazy and have great trouble understanding it.

I did this a few days ago

It seems a bunch of stuff people posted here has to do with me too, I just wouldn't have noticed myself. Like the fork & ice-cream thing, who gives a fuck what you're using: you're still eating the ice cream. I love the idea of the dieresis, it's great! I think I might start doing that, just maybe. Doing random things is always great fun. I guess I'm also in there with the "i dont care what the outcome is, it'll be fun" (of course when it's something that's not too life-threatening). I like helping people too. Even if I'm giving the homeless guy on the side of the road an extra cheeseburger from McDonald's; I'm sure that made his day. (And if it didn't, I pretend it did!)

Also noticed how much people just flat out do not care about what kind of drugs they're doing. I only know of one kid that takes the time to research anything about drugs. I think they're just so fascinating, everything about them. How they work and effect the brain, positively and negatively, everything far, near, and in between. And WHO ever thought about taking a plant, lighting it on fire and BREATHING IN THE SMOKE!? Haha that's just trippy IMHO. Not to mention how people can create drugs.

You didn't sit around many camp fires as a kid did you? ;)

I read the paper from back to front almost every day. I start at the sport and work my way forward and read every article, advertisement, classified and letter to the editor. Sometimes I even have my own letter published. I often sit at my desk reading the paper with the internet open on a sport web site drinking tea and fielding questions from my staff. Occasionally I'll post on bluelight at the same time. Multitasking ftw.

You're actually female, aren't you?
I don't know a single male who can multi-task like that 8o

:)

That I do not dance, and I actually absolutely ENJOY myself even if I refuse to dance! :D (Well, my mates all know this about me ;))

Same here :) Also, I noticed Westerners are more afraid of creepy crawlies than us who live in tropical areas, since we grew up with them all over the place! Everytime I see a spider at home (big or small, once there was this huge spider as big as my fist on the bathroom wall 8o) I never kill them...I just put them back outside. I have no idea why I do this, but only with spiders ;)

^^ I think the same applies to a lot of Aussies too, especially those who have grown up in the bush, like me and (I think?) lostNfound, to name but a few.
I LOVE spiders!! I've always wanted a tarantula but you can't get them legally in Australia. The "pretend" version we have for sale in pet shops are a species of bird-eating spider and they are NOT friendly! i.e. you can't handle them at all. Rather pointless, really!

I love all creatures, literally ALL of them.

Well, except apes.

I guess that's another thing people don't understand about me. I really dislike monkeys, and especially chimpanzees! :p

^ yeh i've grown up all over the place.
By the time I was 16 I had already lived in 26 different houses in 3 different states excluding the year and i spent in NZ.

My family were never city fringe dwellers, more semi rural to rural and some bush thrown in here and there.

I guess I all animals as well but couldnt really give a shit about insects.

I just like the bush and nanture most.

I'm climbing Mt Barney this weekend actually =D

What do I do that people (my friends & associates) don't understand?
One that comes to mind is that I enjoy being alone, doing things alone, going to the beach, movies or whatever going for a bike ride or walk in the bush. I love being lone, as much as I'm a people person and a really good intuitive communicator I prefer to be alone and I really do enjoy it.

I might have to give that coin toss decision making idea a go.

I'm utterly indecisive sometimes. About things that don't matter. I will weigh up various possibilites and play scenarios over in my head, looking at the possible situations from every angle, when I'm deciding whether to have a sandwich or to cook pasta. I call people to discuss my future, as it pertains to which alcoholic beverage I'll buy.

Maybe that's an exaggeration. But I'm familiar with the curse of choice.
