Think about the recent scientific hypothesis that all matter may be constructed entirely of information (code).
Think about that code shaping say an atom. Then think of compiling that atomic data to form chains of command (molecules) and combining these chains to form programs (organisms). Then think of the network relaying information between organisms through paths, roads, streets and highways (compare these network connections with say a USB cable, a vein or a main artery and/or compare a car with a red blood cell).
Imagine a busy crowded downtown area seen from above in relatively fast-motion. Kind of looks like veins and ventricules. There's definitely a pulse.... but where's the heart?
Are there clogged arteries?
Then think about computer programming and how we have managed just recently to store data into matter (hard drive, CD, DVD).
Could this cyberspace be a universe of itself, complete with bits forming atoms and compiled to form chains and so on? Are we creating life?
Then watch Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey.
If you feel that you haven't pondered enough after that, you are a tougher one...
Have fun!
