If you lookup the side effects list of methadone, there's a ton of them, which are not really explained. How do you explain sudden death? Yeah the heart stopped suddenly but why?
I say the lowering of my testosterone and me swimming in oestrogen might have caused the fattening, but I'd have to re-read that.
I ate more than I did before sure, I ate once a day or when I would go on dex binges, then shoot up only when I would feel extremely shitty from the comedown, the Dilaudid rush and high would eliminate all such feelings, I'd take more Dexedrine etc. for as long as possible, it would make me able to stretch my dilaudid shots too, which were eating away all of my money, either as Dilaudid or Hydromorph Contin. But I didn't do this for long as I got a bad feeling in the middle of my chest
ne time where wanting to save benzos, I took a lot of Fiorinals (without codeine of course, they helped out because I was without a GP for a while) when I put an end to a 3 day binge of the sort, and I woke up with that chest feeling, I guess the caffeine and the butalbital (50mg per fiorinal, I had 250mg) so a lot of caffeine plus the butalbital makes opiates leave your body faster than normal, well some opiates, definitely did with butalbital.
I also got myself a script from my GP 2 months after I got on methadone for 600mg Tagamet pills, knowing it kicks methadone up a notch, and I could take less. Well, Tagamet is also known to cause fattening in the stomach area and also gynecomastia (methadone is also known to cause gynecomastia through lowering of T).
But I didn't eat unhealthily, I cooked my own food, ditched the sugary cereals, I needed fiber-y ones because methadone constipated me so bad, even worse than suboxone now. Had to eat two 7,6mgx2 sessonides (Senococt) pills before bed, it works better before bed (its the ingredient in the X-Lax in the aisles, but scripted this way, I didn't have to pay for it), have a glass of something with Relaxa (polythylene glyclol) a softener, which I alternated with another softener, called docusate sodium (Colasce)(sic), orange yellow see through pills, 100mg each, 200mg in the morning, 200mg at night. And with such I was able to take dumps but had to really force for it, still the same story with suboxone, but not as intense.
If the old female thing of taking laxatives to not gain weight worked, I'd be fine I think heh.
The doctors (it's random who I will meet usually, I only saw the hot and nice doc once, but the most resourceful and helpful guy said it could happen, other docs too) and some patients in the waiting room said they gained a lot of weight too, one girl was 120 lbs, shown me a pic of her on her phone 8 months before the methadone and I was like yeah, you're not alone (she was around 250lbs then). And she can't take suboxone, she had a liver enlargement ER episode where they had to clean her out of her blood and give her new blood and fentanyl drip so not to withdraw and then her liver went back to normal. 3 girls told me suboxone did such to them, stomach issues, pancreatitis, reflux Dexilant and Nexium didn't even touch and 2 with the liver going insane like that. That's why they have use take blood tests by the nurse we see every time before seeing the doctor (although, they changed their policy and you only see the doctor now if you need it, if it's just to get in, get your script and leave, it's become much faster, which I don't mind, although doctors would ask us if we preferred wednesday or tuesday (only days they see people for rx renewal) but that's a minor issue corrected with a phone call.
