There must be a Creator

God says that if you keep arguing rationally/logically against the sayings of the prophets, you are deaf, dumb and blind!

That's awfully convenient. It could be turned around. You are deaf, dumb, and blind if you are not trying to argue rationally.

Btw, are we only talking about a abrahamic creator? Cause it sounds like we are. Does anyone who believe in a creator believe that it could be a different kinda of creator.

It's perfectly fine to believe in God without believing he was the God of Abraham, but your problem will be that you won't be able to base your belief on any available scripture xD

It basically means that you believe in 1 God, you believe that idol worship is wrong, but you don't believe his word ever reached us.

Not sure about there being a creator, but definitely some kind of architect that implements certain functions. Not because it's his/her system, but because someone has got to do it! Someone has got to run the universe or it will go out of business.

Anyone think Tony Soprano's life was a little dull of a topic for such a long, and critically acclaimed, series? I'd be much more interested in the exact same people doing the story of Emperor Constantine's life and family and impactful decisions. Talk about the ultimate antihero....How about the guy responsible for that bible??

The infinite universe is not a used cars shop. It can't go out of business xD

Ksa, stop turning every thread into a scriptural debate when it has nothing at all to do with the OP. I won't ask again.

could god create a universe during such a drunken stupor that even he himself couldn't remember doing it?

Hmm.
There must be creation.

I wonder about this actually. Is there really any creation at all? Or is it rather just regurgitation and reiteration of one singular field of potential, kind of like how a torus can wrap around on itself.. one side appears to emerge from a point and the other disappears into that point when viewed from a different angle, yet there is only one surface with no beginning or end.

Personally I think existence is kind of like that. A gigantic hall of mirrors, "god" refracting and reflecting in his own lonely glory.

i agree, reality is like a bull with its head up its own arse. ouch.

;)

doughnut jokes aside, are you referring to the shape of physical space?

No, though space could be doughnut shaped for all I know.. that would be awesome, Homer Simpson was right! I've had lots of interesting thoughts about space, boundaries of such, infinity etc.. but I have no concede I have no clue, and we probably never will. I just settle for the idea that space is probably infinite in all directions, and yet it doesn't actually exist either.. no more real than the space inside a dream.

Can you connect to trees? Grass? People? Planets? If not, how can you connect with something higher?

Remember when you were a kid and you were weighing your actions on what God would do? If I steal this crayon I may burn in Hell or something horrible...That kid is connecting with his higher conscience, albeit the unconscious.

I believe that the combination of anything physical, with mass, combined with electricity are all part of the uni-form; the uni-versal, all of which are part of each other. All particles and sub-atomic particles that come into contact with each-other trade properties, therefore everything in and within existence are of one being trapped within the moment. And this one that is, is to me, "God".

We are the universe trying to figure itself. We are the sub-atomic particles of a solar-system. The solar system to a galaxy. So for the micro, as is the Macro.

What if we are all wrong and this is just a simulated reality and each of us is a character controlled by another being in another reality. Like a really complex video game
