theraputic oxytocin use?

the drug is already used for delaying cervical dilation and to stimulate breastfeeding, but i don't know how big of a problem this would be for a person ingesting the drug that did not posses a cervix or working lactation facilities.

what i'm intrested in is the drug's potential for use in anxiolytic applications.

does anyone have any firsthand experience or links to documented theraputic or clinical trials with the drug? as my benzodiazapine prescription falls short and i revert to the shaking baboon man, i look for alternatives for anxiety relief, 'specially in social situations.

oxytocin isn't a drug i hear about that often, so i'd thought to post the question here, see what came up.

Search in pubmed.com for oxytocin + anxiety, there are few papers on a supposed link between oxytocin and reduced anxiety....
