Theory- LOW doses of MDMA and MAOI = roll?

Just a stoned thought I had, not going to try it or anything. The reason the combination of MDMA and a MAOI is lethal is because MAO's break down serotonin, so without them ecstasy would cause a huge, lethal surge of serotonin in the brain.

Theoretically, this means that a small dose of MDMA that released little serotonin could turn into a big roll if the serotonin builds up as a result of less MAO's.

There are a lot of things to consider, however. I guess if there is no MAO to break up the serotonin at all, even if your brain is pumping out small amounts of serotonin, it can build up to be lethal. However, I don't think MAOI's completely block the action of MAO.

Secondly, we know that there is a certain amount of MDMA required to even roll, indicating that a certain level of MDMA may be necessary to pump any serotonin out at all, or enough at all.



There may be a simple explanation to explain why this theory is 100% false, but I felt like posting it anyway to see what you guys think. I'm no expert at MAOI's so idk..
 
During my 4 month honeymoon (abuse) period with MDMA, I was on 20mg Prozac a day. SSRIs can greatly weaken or completely block a roll. I had awesome times in the beginning, but then tolerance built up :| My rolls were great, but were slightly weaker compared to how other people rolled. Which led me to consuming anywhere between 4 and 9 pills a weekend for Feb-Apr, and then 7 pills in May. The Prozac did dimish it now that I can compare it to rolls when off the Prozac.

The combination of: SSRIs + MDMA = higher chance of seizure.
I didnt have any seizures then, and havent had any at all.

Doing MDMA while on Prozac probably isnt worth it, depending on dose and how long youve been on/off it.
 
OP was referring to MAOI's as opposed to SSRI's such as prozac.

It doesnt sound very safe to me..
 
MAOIs typically inhibit 85% of the enzymes activity. It would be extremely dangerous to combine the two. The limited MAO activity could not keep up with the massive increase in serotonin. Here's a report on bluelight from somebody who was laid out just from licking a spoon with DXM on it.

As far as I know, DXM is a less potent serotonin release than MDMA. If a very low dose of DXM had this effect on that guy, I wouldn't even eat a small crumb off a pill while on a MAOI.

Normally I would say "give it a shot" to most anything within the safety gray area.

Not this one. Please don't do this. It's not safe.
 
I started a thread exactly like this quite a few years ago..

It got closed.

Nubs will see this and try to get the dosing right without a clue as to what they are doing.. leading to deaths..
