Theme: Four Truths and a Lie

Thanks to a_c for the theme - hope a nice sized group of us make it a point to run into each other in the PNW in April

I like playing this game in the Lounge, so I'll try to think of some good ones for here. The *really* good ones would be self-incriminating.

I will make a comment in the comments section in a few days or so as to which one was the lie.

1. The carpet does not match the drapes.
2. I have yanked out an IV in the ER because I did not want the medication they were trying to give me in my body.
3. I have naturally curly hair.
4. I got breast implants at age 20 but everyone thinks they're natural, including past partners, because I lie and say they are.
5. I had six wisdom teeth removed while awake and aware.

Have a go at this one. Those of you who know me fairly well will probably do OK at most of these - those of you who don't, take a good guess!

Happy VD to those who celebrate it. I do not, but don't want to spoil the party, so those who've been there for me over the years and newer friends as well - I love you and you're the best Valentines a girl could wish for. Wish we could all be together today.

I would make another guess but I believe we only have 4 wisdom teeth so, I have to guess that as the lie.......

 

I'll go out on a ledge and guess that the implants are the lie. Most women's carpet don't match their drapes, many who have curly hair straighten it religiously (a crime IMO, but that's another post), and I seem to remember you mentioning something about an unusual number of wisdom teeth.

 

This is strange. Looks public on my end! If one of you or an smod/admin happens to look in here, feel free to make it public and tell me what I did wrong? I have only one entry in here that I think I accidentally made private (called "Effort"). Everything here can be public w/comments open. It's my non-Bluelight journal that is the more private one juicy stuff goes there, not here.

Won't say whether one of you got it yet for now so that others have time to guess.

 

The 'allow comments to be posted' box was unchecked. I've gone ahead and checked it, so anyone should be able to reply now.

However I tried to verify the appearance with our test account, and it looks like it is set to private. Maybe take a look in your control panel Mari? AFAIK there isn't a means for ocean or I to edit that setting. You should be able to choose whether you want everyone, just contacts, or nobody but yourself and mods/etc... to be able to see your entries. From what it looks like, it's an all-or-nothing deal, not a post-by-post.

Once it's fixed, I'll delete this comment. If you're having troubles, let me or ocean know and we'll pass it on to the resident admin to look at.

 

^Dave - I fixed it from my end. Yes, there were global permissions that needed to be changed. Access and comments by members and contacts is now enabled on my end. I did this myself through my own panel, so hopefully I did it right!

I thought it defaulted to being public.

Now that people can see it, they can guess Thanks for your help, I should have looked at my own control panel /facepalm.

*ETA* I was able to unapprove the posts relating to the glitch myself (3 incl. this one) so you shouldn't need to do anything else. We shall see. Thanks again!

 

I had a little glitch with my journal, so anyone who reads this - feel free to keep the answers coming. I will reveal the right one in ~48 hours.

 

The boob - job is the fake?

 

Yep, easy this one 'wisdom teeth' we only have four of them. Please let me be right i've got to get one right, if it's the boob one then i'm off to sulk and not playing anymore...

 

I want to say that the wisdom teeth is aq lie but I sense that there is a twist of some sort (someone else's wisdom teeth? Maybe you keep teeth in a jar and someone stole them and sold them on the black market for a few million? )

So, I'm going to go with boobies. I mean, I'm a guy, we ALWAYS focus on the boobies!

The wisdom teeth thing is a lie.

I think the key word there is usually. In rare cases there can be less, or even more.

I stand by my first guess.

LOL

1. True. I am naturally dark blonde on my head and my body hair is blonde with one exception.
2. True. It's traumatic to get into it, so I'll just say it was a bad situation, I needed Versed, and I carefully took it out. I still sprayed blood all over, and it sucked badly.
3. True. I inherited my father's full head of curly hair. I straighten it at times. PM me if you want to see a pic of my curly head.
4. FALSE. I do not have fake breasts. I lived outside of Miami for a lot of years, and I KNEW this would throw people off. LOL. I am 100% natural and the firmness is what throws off my partners to the point they examine me for scars. Nope, it's just genetics although my mother was flat as a board, and taking care of myself is my only secret. They get awesome lotion on them regularly and I am glad I didn't have to pay for them. I have never had a cosmetic procedure more hardcore than a Brazilian wax. I am what I am - I'd not rule out cosmetic surgery in future but I'm not even 30 yet.

5. True and I have X-rays to prove it. I underwent major surgery for it while only on novocaine, as twilight does not work on me. None were impacted, so I got the unique experience of undergoing oral surgery while awake. I did get nitrous but otherwise just novocaine. It was an interesting 4 hours.

Bet I threw a few off on this one. LOL. I like this exercise. We all learn a lot about each other in this way. Thanks for participating whether or not you had the correct answer, and it would appear Dave won. Since he and I are not *that* type of friends (platonic FTW) what reward shall I give him? I think a tl;dr IRL letter would be in order.

^LOL - yep, they're real. I mentioned "if you know me well" or whatever because the people that know me very well (or guessed correctly) know that I'm not very vain and I barely wear makeup. I take great care of myself,with products that work for me (see girly thread in SO) and go figure, I do not look my age This includes my decolletage.

I sleep with my bra on most of the time, if any female wants the protip.
