Brian Jones Presents the Pipes of Pan at Joujouka is an album produced by Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones. The album was a recording of the Moroccan group the Master Musicians of Joujouka,[2] in performance on 29 July 1968 in the village of Jajouka in Morocco and released on Rolling Stones Records, and distributed by Atco Records in 1971.[3] Jones called the tracks "a specially chosen representation" of music played in the village during the annual week-long Rites of Pan Festival.[4] It was significant for presenting the Moroccan group to a global audience, drawing other musicians to Jajouka, including Ornette Coleman.[5]

The Peking (Guo) Brothers were soloists with the Peking Film Orchestra for over 15 years prior to moving to England, where they became most well known as buskers in London. They play Chinese classical and folk music, drawing from traditional pieces as well as their own compositions.​

The original French single was never released in an album, though Khaled's 1996 album Sahra featured a bilingual version of the song sung in both French and Arabic. The Arabic lyrics for the bilingual version of the song are written by Khaled. The song's lyrics are about a woman named Aïcha, who is being wooed by a man. He promises her pearls, jewels, poems, and other luxuries, to which she replies :

Julie Fowlis - Òran an Ròin / The Song of the Seal

A traditional Gaelic song from the voice of the seal people or selkies — creatures who were said to shed their seal skin and take on the human form at certain times of the year. Thought to move between the parallel worlds of sea and land, but never truly belonging to either, selkies could change to human form at certain times and come ashore. They sometimes took human lovers while human, but usually returned to the sea. Woe be unto they who harm them or their kin.​

That's beautiful. I know all about selkies. I saved it in a folder on YT.

I don't have a lot of World Music, but this Melbourne woman does a lot of spiritual stuff and sings in Greek sometimes. This one is in English (obviously) but your song reminded me of it. Also, I'm distantly related to an Irish playwright/poet, JM Synge, who was a friend and associate of WB Yeats
