The World is Ending in 2012. What are your plans?

So, as you may or may not know, the world is going to come to an end on 21 December 2012. It's a fact people. Nostradamus says so, as does the Mayan calender. Some say the anti-christ will emerge as a charismatic leader loved by all.he will unite the world in peace and do great things. But wait, he's the freaking anti-christ, its a trap! His plan? recruit soldiers for his army in the great final battle between good and evil aka, Armageddon. Some claim the Apocalypse will do us in. Apocalypse, translated from the Greek word Apokalupsis is translated as "revelation" in the book of Revelation meaning "lifting of the veil" the book tells of terrible judgements leading up to the end of Man's rule on Earth. There are actually many other predictions pointing towards 2012, including solar flares, galactic alignments, and even one about aliens. However we can stop there and go on with the story.

So According to the book of revelation the apostle John receives a vision direct from the one and only, the big cheese himself, Jesus Christ. He learns that God will cast fearful judgements on to earth,as a last chance for people to repent and put their trust in God for salvation before the end of the world. These things are terrible by the way. They sound harmless with names like The Seven Trumpets. Look that one up if you have some time. To sum it up, there are 6 angels who each sound a trumpet one at a time that each cause different events to happen. The 5th angel sounds his trumpet and locusts and scorpions appear, and the scorpions are instructed to torment man for 5 months, but they should not killthem. Men shall seek death, and shall not find it, states the passage. All in All, its a bad time to be a human person.

So finally, after all the trials and tribulations, God has poured his judgement on to the earth! Introducing prophecy: The judgement seat of God, from the book of Apocalypse (or Revelation). You'll never guess where this judgement day prophecy comes from. Give up? The Bible. Book of Revelation, chapter 20 verse 12. Revelation 20:12! 2012!. Judgement day would look something like this:

"And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."

Revelation 20:13-15​

"(13) And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. (14) And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. (15) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

OK, OK enough is enough. If your still reading this I'm amazed you battled through it and I thank you, because it wasn't the easiest thing to write.

Now then, you ask what the hell was this all about anyway?​

Oh I will definatly be having an end of the world party on that day. But I really dont think the world will end I tend to think Apostle John was speaking some code bout emporer Nero who was persecuting the christians at the time. Love it. But yeah there is a lot of confusion on the biblical stuff and I'm Jewish so, cant really go by me. Just kidding, but from what I understand this is the story - John was supposedly standing close enough to the cross where Jesus spoke to him right before he died. Later, John is exiled to some island i can't remember and the name, he was the only one of Jesus' apostles not to be martyred apparently. So Johns exiled on the island, we have Jesus resurrection, and than John has a vision from Jesus who tells him how the earth will end, before the creation of a new heaven and hell and how god would cast his wrath on the earth for man to have a chance to keep their trust in him proving their loyalty to god and not Satan.

In the old testament, Satan is actually some sort of messenger employed by God, But he gets cast out of heaven b/c he thinks he can take over or something like that. His introduction as an evil dude begins, I think, in the book of job when he asks God to be let him challenge the faith of anyone on earth who claims faithful to God. God accepts the request believing in mankind's loyalty in faith. Satan thought that this guy Job only loves God because he was given many blessings, and if they were taken away Job would turn against God. So Satan goes to town on this guy, kills his kids, all his animals destroys his crops etc. however Job's faith is not wavered, proving that the spirit of good triumphs over the spirit of evil.

Satan is also known to be responsible for instigating sin on earth in the Adam and eve story by having her eat the apple. It's said that Satan was represented as the snake, and is often referred to as the serpent. many more instances of the testing of good and evil occur, and as result Satan is repeatedly punished more and more.

with the story of the creation of new heaven and hell, its said that Jesus is to be the ruler on earth for 1000, and will create this perfect world. During this time Satan is going to be locked up in a pit for 1000 years for his attempts to defeat god. Satan will being tormented, but he will spend those years coming up with what he will do to corrupt the Utopian society under Christ once his sentence is up.

So their are indications elsewhere in texts that seem to go along with the whole thing, but who really knows. I just find it all really interesting.

 

HaHA. I dont really believe that someone can know when the world is going to end. But I think I should live it up, like its going to happen, and between now and then, party hard, and stay fucked up. 8) even though I do that anyway. I know some people think its going to happen.
Really we just all have to wait and see, and if it doesnt happen, then Im gonna be sitting on my but, strung out, laughing with my friends that we have more years ahead of us.

It is a fact that almost every generation has had doomsday prophecies go unfulfilled but if u really start lookin at some stuff it's creepy. Is the world going to end? My money's on no; but the Mayan calendar I think is a 3000 yr calendar points to that date as do several other interesting sources like cosmic alignments and solar winds. Either way.... Partttaayy

 

I understand the calender stuff, but I mean come on, 3000 years is a lot to make. maybe they just got tired? OR said they would finish it later and died? But yes, either way, Party!

It is speculated that this phenomena may cause some sort of astronomical event. your right tho, I dont really think anything will happen, but its pretty interesting stufff

I get a kick out of how silly people can be (I'm nice today so won't say "stupid"). The Mayans couldn't predict their own cultural demise and yet here we are with people buying into Mayan predictions. The world will end one day but that day is so far off in the future that no intelligent guess can ever be made. I won't be doing anything different on the supposed eve except laughing at people making asses of themselves selling off their possessions and what not.

You just reminded me about somethin I learned about the Mayans, atleast I think this the Mayans that practiced the ritual of the serpant snake or somethin to that effect. A male would isolate himself for several days/nights while depriving himself food and water. After the inevitable hallucinatins and psychosomatics that you would experience from sitting by a campfire for 5 or 6 days with no food or water by yourself ( I guess kind of like a vision quest ) the man would slice his penis open, letting the blood spill into the fire, which would rise up in to the night sky like a serpants tail. They believed that through this trail of smoke leading in to the heavens was a medium for which communicatino with the spirit world was possible.

Have you ever head of teh ancient alien theory? That's a whole different can of worms maybe ill write about it sometime, but its really interesting. There are counltess clues and evidence pointing to the idea that earth was visited by aliens thousands of years ago. I.E the ancient Sanskrit epics vividly portray flying chariots powered by the gods. Or just about every religion leaves text behind about powerful beings ascending and descending from the sky. The Inca's worshiped a sun god thought to be an alien. Ancient egypt is a hot spot for this theory also. There's a really creepy petroglyph of several images, including a hellicopter, submerine and what appears to be a UFO.

now tell me thats not crazy, that ancient Egyptions carved that stuff which looks exactly like a helicopter (top left) a boat or yacht of some kind (next to helicopter) a UFO (under the boat) and thers someothers u cant really tell what they are because of pic. But regardless, someone had some extra help in comming up with these images, those 3 I pointed out are so ridiculously accurate in appearing to be modern day things (besides the UFO, who knows if they are out there).

The evidence of ancient civilizations and their ties to the supernatural, extra-terrestrial, knowledge of the universe etc, is startling. Take another example from the Mayan civilization. Venus was very important to the Mayan's , and they would track it across the sky for years, keeping logs and ma0inge predictions about its transit across the night sky. The transit of Venus is a rare astronomical event, where Venus eclipses the sun. Well, Mayan's predicted one of these transits for 2012. Modern astrologists discovered that the Mayan's were within something like .06% accuracy of astronomical readings. With all of today's technological power, we are only able to be a little bit more accurate than they were thousands of years ago. Crazy stuff.

but the Egyptians, we could crash the blog system starting on with them...it seems many ancient cultures would practice some variation of that routine of sleep deprivation starvation and pain. the serpent(s) or maybe worm-holes or cosmic rays --haha--

the most astounding thing is(as mentioned) how the Bible also, mentions this ''shift'' or aspect, change, mile-marker, a large change in our civilizations thought and belief systems. i imagine lots going on in the political world for example, environmental changes wil happen as they have been, but this is probably a chance to pull some slack and make some useful impact-full discoveries, we in essence as a world first or third, will have more creative higher minds, we will create with more awareness and insight thoughtful preconceptions, our sub consciences will be something we are more aware of and able to have a more tangible grasp on, and, out creative expressive sides as a world of people will be one of heightened awareness of our and others deeper needs and probably further acceptance of the scorpions...lol

there are a couple more dates in the next couple hundred years...

The Mayans used a base-20 number system for keeping track of time. December 21, 2012 just marks the end of the Mayan equivalent of a century. The Mayan calender does not end in 2012.
