The wonders of Vinegar

i get a cup of chips from the deli down the road and make it into a swimming pool. mmmmmm vigegar.

I am a huge fan of raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar. It is the only one i consume although i use distilled to clean.

I am unaware of apple-cider vinegar. My question, can straight vinegar be applied directly to skin to treat rashes, minor cuts, burns etc.?
yes , it is very helpful in rashes especially

Hmm does apple cider vinegar have that same strong vinegar odor, ive never seen it but if it doesnt id love to buy some!

I use vinegar on the wood floors and damn, it makes them so shiny and nice. Aboslutely no cleaning product I have ever bought makes them so bare n clean, they all left smudges or weird film of sorts.

what do you do when you use vinegar on the floor? do you mix it with water? do you clean it off? is it bad for cats?

spanks :)

well we mix it with water..using the 1 part water 1 part vinegar thingy described on the 1st page. Then we dry it with a towel after mopping. It really sparkles! It isnt bad for animals :)

i've done the apple cider vinegar rinse on my hair... it works really well for residue buildup and getting rid of the chlorine smell. just make sure to use tons of conditioner afterwards, since it can be drying.

Distilled white for cleaning everything from windows to floors. It is totally non toxic. There is no need, but harm in fact, by using most commercial cleaners.
I use it on my floors to strip it once a week but i also use linoseed oil and water to clean and wax them. (olive oil and lemon balm for my wood furniture).

Apple cider vinegar is much less vinegary then those distilled from rice or potatoes. Health wise you should only choose dressings (including mayo and mustard) made with apple cider vinegar. It really brings out the flavor too in Chinese cookingby replacing the rice vinegar with it.

once, in a chemistry lab, i accidentally took a HUGE sniff off 95 % acetic acid, thinking it was a aromatic compound a friend had been working on. to this day, when i smell vinegar, i cringe. couldnt smell a thing for a fucking week after that little fiasco.

i used to drink apple cider vinegar, but then i stopped for some reason. this thread has made me pick it back up! the most i can get into my day is 2 tbsp doses twice a day before and after work. i think it has helped me with my back pain and it leaves my mouth really clean feeling too!
