Aye most of the time it won't be off the top of their head but there's bound to be something witty comes to mind that they didn't plan to say. Mock the Week is the worst for coming across scripted, the platform of the show doesn't even make any sense. They have random 'rounds' where they just appear to be bantering amongst themselves then suddenly one team is awarded some points and proclaimed the winner but you aren't actually sure what for.

It's not the only programme where "panel game" is used as a thinly disguised vehicle for comedy. The archetype probably being "I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue". QI's scoring is hardly relevant to anything, or 8 out of 10 cats, or Would I Lie to You, etc. (sometimes the scoring makes sense but no-one actually cares)

But yeah, the more I've watched Mock the Week, the less I'm able to enjoy it, because the scripting is so obvious.

Have I Got News For You is the daddy of comedy panel shows. Flows much better than most and points are awarded in a way which makes sense.

Flows better because of Paul Merton. That cunt actually does hit out with dynamite patter on the spot. Some of the shit he comes out with is brilliant & half the time it takes folk a good few minutes to realise that what he's said is actually fucking hilarious & not just random nonsense. Comedy genius.

Him tearing Angus Deaton apart for the cocaine & hookers 'scandal' was one of the funniest things I've seen on TV.

This week's Sons of Anarchy was pretty brutal.

The 2 new eps of New Girl (S2) were meh. I think 1 series was enough really. Quit while yer ahead kthnx

Aye he's brilliant, very witty. Was a brilliant episode that.

In that instance I did Yella. It was hilarious and he took it well. Couldn't expect anything else really could he.

I've been watching The Inbetweeners (US) it's not good but I can't help but to watch it to see the american version of the jokes that are almost exactly ripped off from the original.

I dont find humiliation particularly funny to look at.

Aw c'mon to fuck you. Angus Deaton knew exactly what he was getting into when he sat down to record that show. Fair enough you could say the humiliation dished out to him by the papers wasn't "funny to look at" but Paul Merton ripping him, to his face, on a TV show is a totally different story. Angus Deaton took it well, as he should. It was in good humour, it wasn't just being nasty to him for the sake of it.

Haha what a gormless idiot. someone said about him saying that a square has 6 sides? crazy

Kieth Lemon just asked Joey Essex the following quiz question on Celebrity Juice:

Lemon: What country borders Wales?

Joey Essex: London.

Teehee.

You shouldn't laugh at other peoples misfortune Yella, it's not his fault he's bad at geography. ;)

Just noticed Question Time is back on tonight!

Do these Essex people not get these questions so badly wrong deliberately..? i mean, it's scripted isn't it. "We'll ask you some dead simple questions, just get them badly wrong and feign surprise when you're told you're wrong"

Probably all part of the script BUT I imagine Joey Essex is thick as shit anyway so even if not told to say it he might of.
