They guy who said about 8 or 9 brits die a year, didn't look too sure on his figures though. She asked him how many people die, and he said something like, hmmm britisih, around 8 or 9.
It's probably true. It wouldn't make national news no, but it would make local press. It's up to the family if the word gets around or not.
Actually, just a google search brings back info about deaths at full moon parties. Apparently, they call the people who go off for a float in the sea when fucked or fall asleep just as the tide is coming in 'Suicide nappers'
