[edit x2] .. thought I'd entered this comment in response to your T3 comment already but didn't but will now, even tho it's outa synch ..

T3 does indeed ring some bells (and Zaerc Tracker) ... and a few others I remember from around that time/from similar place ... will come to me in a bit after I've eaten these sainsbury's moroccan burgers with tons of salad n mayo <3

Probably shouldn't be posting that site so publicly given the teensy-tiny community kinda nature of it. Am trusting anyone who goes looksee doesn't act a dick and fleece 'em without seeding. Is one thing to do that with some random Hollywood shite but quite another when there's one seeder posting rips from his own private collection of obscurities. Having said that, seems to be a bit more mainstream(ish) stuff on there of late. Still fuckloads of properly obscure, weird, wonderful and vomitous stuff though.

Last one I watched off there was Gapar Noe's Sodomites. One of his hardcore shorts. Very stylish but ultimately a 10minute short about bumsex. Unlikley to come across it elsewhere, mind...

EDIT: Ha! Just checked the PooToob linky for Sodomites - consists entirely of the end credits :D

(not surprising given the rest of the film, mind...)

private torrent sites are the shit.

I download from torrentleech.org at 13Mbit/s and have everything on there.

There are no virus ridden torrents and a range of qualities from DVDrips to 1080p 25gb+ films.

I don't see much point in private torrent trackers either. I can pretty much always find what I'm looking for on normal sites.

If you think this you are not doing it right :D

How can he not be doing it right if he can find everything he wants on public sites?!? :?

Am the same. Can get massive file-sizes but why bother when I'm only watching 'em on a lappy screen? Can't get insane-o-speed d/l for anything unless I went with some other intranetz provider and the one I'm with is as cheap as I can find for unlimeted usage even though the d/l speeds max out at ~800-850kb/s. Still get a standard film d/l in under an hour so ain't complaining. Seriously do not see the point of private trackers. Made for wankers, used by wankers. Ya wankers :p;)<3

I suppoe if you are fine with lower quality rips and only using it for films (not software as that is really where private sites come into their own) then I SUPPOSE!

...now if we are talking about porn it is a whole different ball part! I am like 95% sure that Private porn trackers are made by masturbating stimulant freaks for masturbating stimulant freaks!

Ha! You don't know the meaning of the word "porn" me laddo ;)

Tbh I ain't that arsed with collecting tons of pr0n these days. Have a bit of a lingering penchant for seriously fukked up weird shit but can get that elsewhere. And probably stuff to make yer hair curl at that. No need for private trackers for such fecund Goodies. And as for standard wankflix? They're a gazillion a penny which is all most fellas need, frankly :D

Given I don't burn to disc - and even if I did I can only burn standard DVDs (no BluRay or owt) - public trackers do me just dandy. Software is neither here nor there for me really. Never had a problem finding owt I'd actually use. Am sure more "specialist" software would be harder to pin down though...

God, I only download at 400KB/s, and I'm living with my middle-class mother. I thought you were supposed to be poor? ;) Private trackers can be good for certain things, like UK TV, as already mentioned. A lot of people don't need to use one, as most films and games are very easily accessible. Is it not against the BLUA to post links to torrent sites?! Christ, Knock, sort it out. :D

I'm on the Post Office "unlimited" package cos otherwise intranetz would be more or less unusable with their ridiculous caps. Costs £25/month including line rental and was the only place that would actually reconnect the actual phoneline so kinda had to go with them or BT (who were wanting fukkin insane cash just for the reconnection fee - plus an 18m minimum overpriced contract :\). Beggars/choosers and all that...

AFAIK, nobody's actually posted a linky to a torrent site yet. Just named loads somewhat brazenly :D

^ Is an excellent film, Brimz. Never read the book so can't compare but Rhys Ifans is just genius as the man himself <3

Yeah was a good watch . Not half as detailed as the book obviously . But still very entertaining not as entertaining as seeing the man himself though .
If you get the chance to , do it he's a very charismatic Guy.

As I said, not read the book for comparison but loved the film. Can imagine he's mucho fun on his chitchat tours. Know of one or two BLers who went back to his hotel for a smoke with him and is apparently as sound "IRL" as on stage.

Is one I'll grab the moment I find it at the charidee shop, Brimz ;)

In other Welsh Drug God news, you seen that doc about Operation Julie. Very much local boys "back in the day". Used to drink at my local apparently. Know many of the places involved. Supposedly still a fuckload of that stuff stashed away. Not to mention several million in cashmoney that was never recovered. Purest LSD ever manufactured by anybody ever according to Sandoz. Must've pissed 'em right off to admit it too given the fella was knocking it up in a shed rather than their uberslick facilities =D

what did you think? pretty disappointing in light of the book (which is excellent).

alasdair

100% agree, the film was total bash.

I HIGHLY recomend ITV1 Secret life of dogs.
It's on the ITV player now but I loved the show & it showed you how damn smart dogs really are :)

Saw bits of the Ravi doc last night , was excellent

The doc about the Sherpa's and the Everest climbing expeditions is up on I player now, well worth a watch

Climbing Everest with a Mountain on My Back: The Sherpa's Story
Every year, over a thousand climbers try to reach the summit of Mount Everest, with the annual record for successful attempts currently standing at 633. But of that number, nearly half were Sherpas - the mountain's unsung heroes. Yet the Sherpa community has remained secretive about their nation, culture and experiences living in the shadow of the world's highest mountain. Now, for the first time, they open the door into their world.

Without the expertise of the Sherpas, only the hardiest and most skilful climbers would succeed. Every day they risk their lives for the safety of others, yet they seek neither glory nor reward, preferring to stay in the background. Following the stories of four such Sherpas - Phurba, Ngima, Ngima Tenji and Gelu - this film reveals the reality of their daily lives, not just up the mountain, but with their families after they return home.

I agree sadly I only found out about Ravi Shanker last night, he makes Cypress Hill - Illusions sound 4th rate.

Sherpa's are the people in Tibet right?......

Some membership torrent sites are great for more obscure stuff
Easy to maintain ratio and even decent freeleech files upto 75gb for packs like Skyfall if you know what sites to go on or be invited to

"The Master" dvd rip has just hit some sites today, will give it a whirl later on
Fuck TV
