The 'What Have You Bought Recently?' Thread - Because Summer Is a Show Off

I bought a £20 bottle of wine for my mum's ex's xmas pressie (long story).

What are the odds that I'll end up drinking it once I run out of cheap stuff this weekend and cba going out to get more?

Don't let it happen :(

Got myself a new watch.

Very boring post this, but that electric toothbrush has turned out to be a very good buy, dunno why it took me so long to get one. Its such a novelty and like having a new toy to play with and feels quite sensual the way the soft brushes sweep over your teeth and gums. For the first time in years brushing my teeth isnt a chore, i was worried after id beeen using a lot of pv that i was gonna start loosing my teeth, i could literally see the enamel wearing away week by week.

I didnt know that teeth enamel has an amzing abilty to restore itself once you start taking proper care of them again. Cant very well post a pic of my newly gleaming ganashers, at the very best its gonna look cheesey as fuck, at the worst its gonna look like some gay "cum in my mouth" pose. :o :sus:

Yeah I try to avoid having pictures taken of my face too. Mainly cos of the whole gay cum in my mouth pose thing

haha, that is one avenue i have never erm 'gone down'. Perhaps when i was in the prime of my youth, i could have earned quite a lot of dosh at it. Not sure if my self-esteem could have handled it though, plus the presumed constant fear of being recognised is something im glad that i dont have to live with.

I wanted to pick this up in advance of getting my tattoo to see how it took to my skin, unsurprisingly it was fine:

Still waiting for the books to open for next year for the tattoo artist who will be doing mine so I can book an appointment!

^ Sure that stuff'll be fine but I bet it was expensive, in the future I'd recommend just using bepanthen (the nappy rash stuff) for healing tattoos. Much cheaper and it lasts for ages, hardly need any of it. Can be multi purpose as well if you happen to have a baby I guess.

For the tattoo thing if you want any tips I'd probably be pretty much the best person on here to ask, forgot to reply to your PM the other day I just realised chat so sorry about that, might do later if you're lucky ;)

Not that expensive really... plus I think a little goes a long way, but I guess if you were getting a big tattoo the cost/benefit ratio would be shit. Thanks for the tip though.

Oooh, a reply to a PM. I'll look forward to that. ;)

Remember to hold it in your hand while you're getting your tattoo - the artist will be impressed that you came prepared. %)

Not that I can say much, because I almost spent $20 on one of these:

Hilarious, no?

For context's sake, it's actually a pretty cool piece of genuine seventies memorabilia. Which could easily be reproduced for almost zero cost, but that's by the by.

Should I still be buying these things though? One of my mates was wearing a cardigan on Saturday. Should I not be shopping for fucking cardigans? :\

$20 for that? lol what

Buy whatever. bollocks to the cardi, i thought they're for people 60 years and older

I know - $20. 8(

If it were a UK listing it'd probably go for a fiver, cos they're not all that rare. Most of 'em are still pinned to long-abandoned leather jackets and though.

Glad you're with me on cardigans. This guy (my best mate) was eerily reminiscent of my grandad, only without the pipe.

I would've worn that badge on my school blazer in 1982. I was usually festooned with Madness, 2-Tone, and Jam badges so that Stiff one would have made me the envy of my school chums. %)
