The 'What Have You Bought Recently?' Thread - Because Summer Is a Show Off

Don't you love how razor companies compete with each other to see how many blades they can fit onto a razor?....mines got like 5 blades plus an edging blade on the back...fucking things about an inch wide!!

As for the vibrating blade thing...fuck knows what that's meant to do...give a closer shave or something... Looks cool and though..mine turns fluorescent blue when u switch it on!

I hate wet shaving though - it hurts like hell! I use an electric shaver, then go over that with a razor to remove the rough stuff.

If you wet shave straight out of the shower when your skin is soft and your pores are open, use a good quality shave foam/gel and a decent razor with a brand new quality blade....wet shaving shouldn't hurt.

However if you do it when your skin is freezing cold, use cheap foam and a bargin basement bic one blade plastic disposable razor......then it will indeed hurt like hell!!

^ this

Wet shaving used to rip my skin up when i was younger, until i quickly stopped using bic razors and shaving foam. Gillette razors and gel after

I almost got one of these last year & I'm in need of a new hat, so I thought I'd make use of the last day of the 20% discount on RL.co.uk:

That's not the colour I got mind... went for the 'forest' one, i.e. dark green.

Mm.. I can see the point in buying designerwear when it's going to be a really nicely-fitting piece of clothing or comfortable footwear, but I'm really not convinced by designer hats sporting logos.. It's a nice hat, though.

It's a really nicely-fitting hat, I tried one on last year... what can I say. :D

If I buy designer wear, it's nearly always discounted & not because I want some logo on it but because of said reasons above & the fact they are high quality. I might end up paying more but in the end of the day, they quite often last twice as long as the things that cost half the price...

I've got a pair of Merrells that cost like £80 but they are still holding up great after 5 years of use... although they don't count as designer wear...

Nah, I know designer stuff often fits really nicely, but.. I guess I just expect beanie hats to usually fit well. Am sure it's lovely though. ;)

Also, yeah, Merrells are brilliant.

Formal shoes on the feet, a sock or two on my junk, boxers on my head while swigging beer and throwing painkillers at passersby!

all for the cat

Just remembered: 4/5 years ago I had a fantastic (read benzo plus stimulant induced) idea to walk to the 'local' (2 mile walk) 24hr ASDA at 10pm on a Tuesday night to see how much I could embarrass the cashier while remaining stone-faced (though, I was closer to 'utterly stoned face').
I picked up a 48 pack of flavoured condoms, a tiny bottle of Durex lubricant, a big bottle of olive oil, a block of lard along with the largest Cucumber I could find and three gigantic Parsnips and innocently walked to the only human operated till in the store, as opposed to the masses of electronic, discreet ones.

At first he looked quizzical, before quickly shifting to nauseated shock. The intent eye contact and seductive wink I gave him only added to the situation.

My cat has dried GoCat food n some green milk. She won't drink water, only MILK! And tuna now n then. Beauty doesn't like whiskers - she gives a meow of disgust when presented with that shite.

Also I'm glad I got her on dried food. I can't STAND the feel or the smell of wer, tinned cat food. Yuck!

Ran out of painkillers a day early (pick them up tomorrow morning) and spend £30 on loperamide and grapefruit juice. Actually worked quite well but not worth the money and the treck round the innumerable pharmacies that it took to obtain the 112 lope tablets to keep me relatively pain free and out of wds......must remember not to run out early next time (yeah right)
