"Shit House" amused me quite a lot when I first heard that one, maybe when I was still at school, not sure.

And for any non-Brits that may not know, I guess middle class or 'posher types' 'go to the bathroom', but obviously that would be laughably ridiculous to say in a work place, and the phrase can only really be used in domestic settings.

I believe that our transatlantic cousins use the term 'restroom'.

Not exactly where I would choose for some rest...
 
That's such a nonsensical phrase to use. At least 'bathroom' makes sense.

Sitting 'on the throne' would be the obvious best place to rest. Although probably better to do that with the toilet lid down, so that your arse is not hanging out above 'the abyss' below for a prolonged period.

I heard something on youtube recently that doing this regularly can cause medical conditions in that area of your body that is hanging out. Could be utter nonsense, could be a grain of truth in it.

Mysteriously that video doesn't seem to be showing in my history, so I can't post the link.

TBF, 'bathroom' doesn't make much sense unless there's a bath in there.

I've never seen a bath in a pub pisser... :ROFLMAO:

yeah, I should have said, At least 'bathroom' makes sense, in a domestic setting.

As I mentioned in an earlier post.

Agreed that it would be ridiculous to use that phrase anywhere that is not domestic.
 
A tune for jimmy nowhere and his (minimum) two brain cells... I hear this in my head every time I see a post of his

@F.U.B.A.R. 'loo' is definitely not extinct. I reckon I use the term twice a week or so. It's a great word really and should be used more often. In fact I encourage everyone on EADD to use toe word 'loo' at least once daily and observe any reactions to it. It's the 'word of the week' I'll have you know.

I'm travelling atm to see a couple of my brood and will be going out for food and drinks with them and a also some old friends tonight and will make sure to use the word 'loo' on at least two occasions and see whats what. I bet nobody says "ooh, that word's extinct you old cunt"

Tornados in SW Michigan two days ago. A few deaths a few counties away from me. Stay safe, everybody. Lightning especially can strike anywhere at any time.

We as a people sometimes do more than shit or piss in the "restroom", depending on if it is a bar( pub, club), ect.

I hear substance use other than alcohol takes place there; 🤷 hmm, I guess you guys across the pond never used the bog, for anything else,lol.

I will take that as compliment, since I was trying to be nice. I need to stick to what I am good at, but @alasdairm, seems to try too stop me, no matter what I do.

Besides @Shilji you showed of some of the nice gardening you did last year( all legal and well normal and boring, but well done, I guess).

You had free time and made productive of your free time.( no offense but, ugh) Flowers and stuff, boring.
