A nightclub where a man collapsed and later died after taking drugs is to pilot a new Home Office drug abuse prevention scheme.

From 12 October, The Warehouse Project will test suspected illegal substances seized on the premises in a laboratory set up within a trailer.

Warnings will then be sent out via social media about what they contain.

Its a step in the right direction, but they will only test drugs they have SEIZED, so you cant just go up and see if your stuff is OK or not, you can only give it to them, they take it from you and release any information if the drugs are contaminated. Well thats how im reading it?

I think its going to be hard though, like alot of powders are going to be seized.. powder looks like powder.. crystal is very similar. If its bad pills thats the only plus I can see from it.

I wonder if dealers will purposely leave a sample by the testing facility, it gets tested and posted on social media, people in the club check social media on their phone and know what to look for lol

I think they will only post out harmful chemicals? Im not sure the UK is quite at the stage where they shout out "XX pills contain xx amounts of MDMA", more so Red M tablets contain PMA/PMMA or something similar.
