The Wanderer (please critque!)
Dancing in the open meadows,
But there is no music to dance to,
Only the sound of the whistling wind,
Whistling in abscense of the flute,
Walking in the deep dark forests,
But there is no other to walk alongside,
Only the sound of the night owl,
The howling of the night wolf,
Standing on the high high hills,
But there is no one else to see,
Only the vastness, the valleys,
The empty world that surrounds me,
And I look up to the sky,
But by day there is only the sun and the clouds,
At night, only the moon and the stars,
And when I sleep? I cry in my dreams

*Only a quick first draft!! Could do with some feedback!!! Especially looking for literature/poems/stories that deal with themes of loneliness to give me some ideas and inspiration!! Thanks!
