Television The Walking Dead

^ I agree with 95% of the characters being more likable in the comics than on TV... other than Lori because I found her so atrocious in the comics. At least you actually see an emotion besides hating Rick on the show.

Well, I finished the 1st season in like a day.. I liked it a lot, but I wish there would've been more of a cliff hanger @ the end.. I'm picking up the 2nd season monday.. Exciting!

I was pretty vocal about my hatred towards this show in comparison with my love for the comics for the first two seasons. I can say that im pleasantly surprised that this season has taken a turn for the better. There are still flaws of course, but i can overlook the few that come up and finally sit back and enjoy the show. My thought about this show is that there is plenty of good source material to work off of from the comics so there is no excuse not to have a good plot. If they want to diverge from the comics, that is fine, but it better be to improve the plot instead of make it stale.

I have never read the comics but I'm sure they're very good, I really enjoy the show... I just got season 2 yesterday watched ep 1 and plan on finishing it up now.. I can't wait 2 start season 3, which I should be able to do this weekend.. I'm excited.

for some reason i find her even more unlikable in the show. maybe it's just the actress, i don't know. also i kinda knew that they couldn't get away with the shit the governor does in the comics although his scene with michonne getting even probably is among my favorite moments in the comics second only to how they deal with the cannibals much later on.

^ I loved that plot unfold in the comic too.

Re the Governor: I agree they're not going to be able to go as far as they did in the comic. :( I still hope we get to meet her daughter and I was happy to see the heads. Another thing, I guess making the Governor look like he did in the comics would be too much a 'give away' for producers of the show... even though we all know Danny Trejo should have been cast for the role. ;)

Moar awesome show??????? Wholly wow.

*ignoring all posts just to say*
finished season 2 this morning. fuck yeah.

Imo season 3 is exponentially better so far than seasons 1 and especially 2. Season 2 I thought was pretty boring, put me to sleep... Felt like filler.

“ I did also.. Tell me, did u find that season 1 and 2 started out extremely slowly. I was also a little disappointed that neither season really ended w/ a cliff hanger.. I'd have preferred that myself..
All in all it's a gr8 show and I <3 it.

Yikes, this last episode was quite depressing.

RIP T-Dog & Lori

For certain.

What bothered me more than anything was Rick's(Andrew Lincoln's) reaction. Him panicking over them not being in the yard, then hearing the crying, seeing who emerged, trying to process that Lori wasn't with them, and then falling apart, was painful to watch.
His acting, IMO, was superb. Unfortunately, I've been in a few situations in life where people have received news so horrible they can't process it. Or seen something so bad they can't process it. I felt like his "version" of that kind of reaction was spot on and kind of gave me chills.
The look on Carl's face was pretty awful(good) to observe, as well.
