The vitamins and supplements MEGA THREAD.

I'm not sure. I don't take the those supplements because I already eat plenty of fish so I don't know much about them. I've just heard from people that man of the supplements give you nasty burps but some pass through the digestive system to where you don't get the burps. When you go ask someone who works there about it. If you have a whole foods type store in your area, someone there will know for sure.

Apparently if you keep your fish oil capsules in the freezer it helps eliminate the fishy tasting burp you might get from some of the fish oil that's out there...

I take a multi-vitamin daily for everyday-healthiness

and about once a month I give myself a B12 shot to open up my appetite. It opens it up more than my usual munchies, but still I gain no weight..... o0 well

I TRY ( I do a sucky job) to take just a regular multivitamin in there cause well, I eat about once a day and it's usually garbage. LOL. And throw one the bf's way as well.

Remember to cut those things it half, cause your body can't process that many vitamins at once. :)

I'll take a C complex maybe if I have a cold. The bf has a lot of this stuff around so what could it hurt to try to get over being sick?

First let me say i don't eat the best, i drink, and smoke weed, and i want to reduce the damage to my body. Also, i'm stressed out a lot from work (even though I love what I do), and I don't exercise as much as I porbably could.

multi - general health

1g C - good for ya, and helps with other antioxidants

silymarin (i drink a lot and work with nasty chemicals, i need my liver!)

piracetam - i need my brain for my job, and i find piracetam counteracts the weed haziness (been taking it with choline recently)

The stuff below i take for several months in a row and then take a break for a few months:

ginkgo + folic acid - to counteract vitiligo (after many months, it seems to have stopped spread and even reduct the whitening... vitiligo isn't too bad for me cuz Im a pale irish guy anyways)

5-htp every few days - sleep and depression (I don't take any prescription meds, but i am definitely depressed)

green tea extract and grape seed extract - antioxidants and general health

maca or ginseng for adaptogenic effects to counteract stress.

Man, i take a lot... eh, oh well.

-multi vitamin pills (new roots? i got em for free from my work) Good quality, made from actual food. Some vitamins go overboard in amounts, your body can only absorb so much at once. Its better to take them a couple times in smaller quantities than all at once. Also the form of the vitamin can affect absorption.

- I take a b stress complex. Take this for anxiety and stress, supposed to help. As well as increasing appetite.

- probiotics. Helps with my ibs. take it a couple times a day with food. 30billion bacteria, mostly acidophilus

- magnesium chelate. Take it in the evening. Its a mild muscle relaxant. I figure it could help calm before sleep.

- fish oils. have been slacking on these lately. Supposed to help with mood, once again for anxiety.

I know what your talking about. Its almost acid feeling, yuck. The one i take isnt capsules its in a bottle and its got essence of lemon in it, so it doesnt take bad, but if you burp you still get that nasty fish oil taste and feeling. heh

Which are those exactly so I can be sure to avoid them tomorrow when I go shopping?!
They are usually labeled with NO FISH BURPS!

I take a Multi, Calcium w/D, Magnesium, and Fish Oil.
I eat a balanced diet and exercise at least 5 days a week.

I forgot glucosamine.

I know this is a strait forward question, but;
I take a multivitamin and a fish oil as a lame way to make up for not really eating enough food.
Like a piece of meat or a veggieburger will often do it for the day.
Worried about recent alcoholic recklessness / my fondness for amanitas, I am going a couple of weeks without alcohol on 2 250 mg milk thistle pills a day.
I cant drink milk so Im thinking of adding so calcium, I have some "oyster calcium" calcium + vit D
that are 10 years expired lol anyone think they would hurt? And further from the topic, normally I am pretty reckless healthwise, but my 40 something year old aunt is about to die from cancer at like any moment this week and first it had me bingeing but now it really has me thinking life is so precious

I take a womens mulit vitamin.

I sometimes miss meals due to work, and find that after a few days of not getting good healthy food I start to get really run down. This is at least one way of getting some of the vitamins I'm missing when I dont always get dinner.

At my trip to the herbal healing store I purchased some gamma-Aminobutyric acid and antioxidant chewable vitamins. Going to give them a try for a few days, and then assess if they are doing any good.

I've ended up loving the antioxidant chewable vitamins. They taste wonderful, and they seem to do their job. I was coming down with a cold prior to beginning on them, and since it seems to have relinquished its grasp.

The gamma-Aminobutyric acid on the other had appears to be a total no go. While it did help me sleep well and did relax me, after taking it for a couple of days I am feeling very out of it mentally. I'm going to stop taking this stuff effective immediately!

I end up handing my bf a multi vitamin every now and then when I remember cause he eats like shit like I do.
Is that that too much or just a way of me showing that I love him and want him to be hapy healthy?

I have a habit of mothering people I care about. I was house mother for a frat. Cleaned inches of mold off dishes... because I care and wanna help people.
So I was just seeing what people/guys would say.

5-htp now and again, multibionta multi vitamin ever morning, zinc glutonate, ginko biloba, garlic capsuals,
