The UK in the EU: "Brexit"

The biggest "risk" of all is sovereignty. Though I don't count this as a risk, or potential danger. It is an irrevocable fact, that if we remain our Parliament will continue to be subservient to EU law as it is now, where 50-80% (depending on who you ask) of all our laws are handed down from outside our borders. That is how it is, now. The risk is that if we remain our sovereignty will continue to be further undermined, and the risk is we will just become a satellite plantation of the EU superstate.

Of course, if the Brexit goes through, then any UK sovereignty over the northern half of Great Britain may be in serious doubt.

Holy shit, I really didn't think it was going to happen. It's not for certain yet but it is looking like Leave is going to win.

Looking a bit closer, it looks like certain Stay strongholds haven't been counted yet... First news outlets are now calling the win for Leave however.

Looks like BBC just called it for Leave to win, remain can't win mathematically.

Now watch Scotland leave the UK.

The pound has also been smashed, lowest since 1985. 11% fall.

And here I was thinking that US voters were idiots for voting for Trump in the primaries.

Well played, UK, well played. Your voters are dumber than ours.

Well the British Pound dropped, Scotland will predictable hold another referendum (calling it now), and I suspect the EU will demand a pound of flesh if the UK wants to keep any favored access to EU markets.

People are stupid, American, British, anywhere you go, the majority of people are retarded.

Domino effect incoming? (especially with the rise of right-wing parties across EU member states)

"Dutch anti-immigration leader Geert Wilders called on Friday for a referendum on the Netherlands' membership in the European Union after Britain voted to leave the 28-member bloc.
A survey by a television channel Een Vandaag this week found that 54 percent of the people in the Netherlands, a founding EU member, want a referendum.
Dutch voters have twice voiced strong anti-EU sentiment at the polls, most recently in April when a vast majority rejected the Ukraine-EU treaty in a nonbinding referendum."

"France's far right National Front party called for a referendum on European Union membership in France on Friday as Britain voted to leave the bloc."

Bahahaha. Oh what a good day, the Sun is shining after two days of bloody rain, it's Friday, and I get to listen to all the whiny losers moan about how "stupid" we are for daring to take back power from the EU monster.

Next up, David gets thrown out of No. 10. Ahhh hahahaa.

Now that we are officially enemies, good luck :)

David Cameron just announced he would be resigning by October. A new PM will carry out negotiations for the UK to leave the EU based on article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty.

Dumb people wanted the referendum. Dumb people voted leave. Dumb people are gonna lose their job (and probably some stuff like labourrights on the side). I'm not gonna pity them.

ahh its good to see the sweet sweet results this morning and seeing the suicide rate going up for socialists

i'm kind of stunned it really happened! EU has been long overdue for a good shakeup.

is it possible for you to post a post without insulting somebody? pretty please?

Now we get to watch the economic carnage that follows.

It makes no difference to me whether UK stays or goes, but what is obvious is that nobody in power, or anybody else that voted, has any idea of where this is going.

It's more a mentality of "somebody do something!" and "the majority" jumping aboard the gravy train
