The moon shadows a shady smile.
Glances come in waves
like the nature of trees in this
night time breeze.
He said "i'll fill these desolate voids of intellect
and pass the days in reflect.
tired mind need to unwind."
He knew this wasn't right
reached to deep
words he wanted to keep
faded with tarnished smoke
The place where fear and hope collide
stronger than hurricane tide
he must abide.
Emotions and hope burned with brain tissue scar
went to far
The truth etched in fear
his shaky hands just couldn't bare
he left everything behind
to breathe in summer air
Fireflies wandering the sky
left his problems and said goodbye.
The wind continues to blow
fireflies still glow
his hope begins to grow.
