The Trippiest Movies and Music Videos

Avatar on acid is fucking insane. Sober I hate the movie, but tripping on acid while listening to music on headphones = bonkers.

I did 2c-e last night...tried to watch Speed Racer but it was moving way too fast.

I opted to watch Alice In Wonderland 2010 and selected parts of Avatar ... they were both in 2D / HD, but they looked better than the 3d glasses versions. Something very interesting was happening where my mind filled in real depth perception ... both of those movies were made originally to take advantage of 3D, so the depth perception effects of 2c-e were very pronounced. It wasn't quite holographic, but I think it could have been extremely immersive with either a bit more 2c-e or a more immersive setting (such as a big screen TV instead of a laptop).

What I thought was odd is that the colors were very matte, I had expected both movies to be more vibrant, but the added immersiveness and depth perception from the 2c-e made it a much more worthwhile experience. Definitely recommended. %)

Not a but the show Superjail can be incredibly trippy, especially the episode Don't Be A Negatron.

the northerners. it's a dutch film, with subtitles. it doesn't really make sense when you're not tripping!

The films of Kenneth Anger and the films of Stan Brakhage will no doubt destroy minds around here, especially for those of you not really familiar with avant-garde cinema in general.

Alejandro Jodorowsky's films are also fantastic, but have more narrative structure, and as a result demand a bit more clarity of thought, and even a bit of literary backing.

Actually Kenneth Anger's work sort of requires a pretty in depth interest and background with a variety of occult, and general art historical topics to really grasp as well, but having that knowledge, combined with a mind altering substance makes his films absolutely a sublime experience.

I heard that a bunch of people took acid before watching it in theaters in 3D and once it was over they realized our planet could never be like their's(the movie mentions something about humans already killing our 'mother nature'), so they committed suicide. it wasnt just one group, but a bunch of instances

I think this post belongs in this thread :D

Seriously though, I have read that a lot of people did end up feeling depressed and suicidal after seeing Avatar, but I doubt that a theatre full of people offed themselves after viewing it.

^ Time to Pretend is such a great, random, trippy video. The song is great too, and I love the energy it has.

If you ever EVER EVER get the chance to see them live, please do so. It is one of those experiences that you need to witness. Their shows are so amazing when your on drugs. It doesn't even matter what type of drug you do, as long as your on something that makes you happy. The music will do the other part and make for an amazing memory!

On Netflix there's a movie called "The Void" That movie is the trippiest movie I've ever seen in my LIFE. It has just about every drug in it you could think of, and it's about an American drug dealer in Tokyo that gets shot in a raid and it's a great theory about what happens after you die. It's his hallucinogenic trip when he dies going through all his life memories of the past, present, and future. Ever heard that when you die, all the naturally produced DMT in your brain is released all at once? Well, this is it. Highly recommend this movie. Please message me if you watch it and let me know what you think ;)

My favorite stoner movie ever is The World's Greatest Sinner it makes me laugh my ass off at the irreverence of it all. Lately I'm obsessed with this Korean movie "I'm a Cyborg and That's OK" it's got a lot of problems but it makes me laugh. Sad part my daughter likes it, too. Maybe it's an Asperger's thing. This is kind of f**kef up but sometimes I've imagined that I am a robot--I didn't move mechanically or anything just imagined that I had a heads up display and things like that. And that was during long periods of sobriety. If I ever go crazy that's what it will be that will become a delusion and I'll think it's really true.

Scott Pilgrim. definatly

My friend gave me three drops of acid out of his vial, later back at his place...he puts on Scott Pilgrim vs the world

Holy Mother of Christ!
