He explained that the windows on his side overlook the parking lot, but on the next wall, they face the neighborhoods. Those are bulletproof because the building is in the 'cracktown' section, but his side are regular glass because people like him aren't management, and are therefore expendable.

Funny you should ask, as we left his office we drove up the street (mid day, lots of witnesses and such). You'll notice several empty lots? That's where earlier crackhouses have burned down. They average about 1-2 per year. On the plus side, a layer of snow makes it look almost nice

He showed me the latest house to fall into 'cracked out' state, and figures it'll be burned down soon. However, he wouldn't let me get out of the car and look around....in fact he didn't even lower the window. He just slowed down a bit for a pic, then floored it back towards safer areas of town.

We could but I only have one person from australia participating at the moment...

If More Aussies would like to participate after I get confirmation that david is infact safe and sound... then send me some addresses via email or pvt message and we can see about getting you on the list.... One or two names would get you close to the travel time were he is currently any more than that will have to go to the bottom of the list since there are many others patiently waiting for his/her time with David...

I'll confess, I had some problems getting him out. First, the UPS store wanted to repack everything (yes, I put a lot of shit in for L2R), then they offered to send the newer, bigger, box over to AUS for $350 - so I said no thanks. Then I repacked him back into a box about the original size with all the extras included and tried again - they asked for $150 for shipping. Then I went to the US Post Office who have promised about 10 days shipping time for $50 (DONE!!!). They couldn't say how long the box might get held in customs, but he has already started his journey....L2R should have him soon.

I strongly suggest he makes the rounds in AUS before leaving the country, as it is hellaexpensive to ship him overseas anywhere, and whomever gets that responsibility ought to start saving now. Also, don't try to include a bunchacrap like I did


I owe a zip file of all the pics I took, which will be sent to the site this weekend, and I'll continue to update this thread in the meantime. For the record, there are a few of the early people who included hard copies of their pictures in the travel box, so those may not be available online (unless someone scans them).
