Site updated. TLB's boatload of photos was split into two pages to make page loading easier for those on slower connections. Plus, according to TLB, there is more to come. Wow.

Where is David now, btw? I think the map needs to be updated too. City, Province/State, country please. Thanks.

dave is now enjoying the sunshine in beautiful SYDNEY, NEW SOUTH WALES, AUSTRALIA

Before I could get out of town and start travelling to L2R, I was brought along on a business trip by TLB that took us through the Akron-Canton area of Ohio. We asked what we should go see, and several pointed to the McKinley Museum and monument. He was one of the American presidents, and they've honored his birthplace with a library (I suppose he liked to read?).

^^That was me standing in front of his buriel thingy, with a statue of him out front. Here we are a little closer.

And, for you history buffs that wanted to know what was written there:

Down the road from there was the real Pro Football Hall of Fame, though I've been warned not to fall for thinking L2R and the Aussie's had a comparable sport by a similar name. I was assured, that THIS was real football.

They even had a "Game Day" simulation....almost like watching a movie of being there or something :|

This was, of course, right next to Fawcett Stadium at the Hall Of Fame field where several all-star games are played.

Insde was a statue of one of the greatest players ever, a Mr. Jim Thorpe - All American. I think I may be a bit too small for playing football American style, but perhaps I could substitute as the ball itself sometime.

IMG_5623.jpg

I believe Mr. Thorpe was of Native American (Indian) descent, and I'm confident in saying we're not related....despite both of us having a strong and manly appearance.

I've only a little more to share, and then I can start talking all about the fun I'm having with L2R. :D Be back in a bit.

That is so freakin cool.

I'd hate to be the person to ship him to AUS though... I'm never happy to ship things across waters. Unless you go snail slow and that takes FOREVER and it has a side of "might get lost" with it

I reckon that while it is over here it goes over to Sim0n at some stage... mostly because New Zealand isn't anywhere near New Hampshire ;)

Ah-HA!!! TLB has located some pictures from earlier, back when it was still snowing a lot (obviously our trip to Akron and Canton was when things had warmed up a bit). Before the winter truly broke, and while there was still a lot of snow on the ground, we went to a local park - Mill Creek Park which is freakin' huge and nicely wooded. Several bridges cross the river that runs through it, and one of the historic landmarks is "The Mill" obviously. Here we are looking down from one of the bridges to the mill:

We then went to the north side of the park where there is "Glacier Lake" with a nice museum and observatory overlooking the lake:

We went outside from the building to get a 'natural look' at the lake:

It was cold, so I was quick to jump down from the rail and head somewhere warm...

IMG_5502.jpg

I forgot how deep the snow had gotten :\

IMG_5501.jpg

Before we left the area, TLB was kind enough to point out the Rose Garden nearby. I kindly pointed out that it's winter, and there are no roses nearby....so let's go somewhere warmer, puhlease!!!!

Everything, including the ferris wheel was made of chocolate - a bit too dusty to bite, but still neat, nonetheless :)

IMG_5517.jpg

And, even the castle was my size almost :D

IMG_5518.jpg

The staff was so excited to see me, they made a special exception for me to go past the guard rails and pose in the kingdom - oh, what a treat!!
