Kara I really like your point about how there's no use in letting all the rubbish situations and shit things that happen on your travels get you down, it's part of the experience.
Myself and my mate were on a sweatbox of a train to Slovenia, it was small, cramped, overcrowded, no air con, windows that didn't open, not enough seats for the amount of passengers and tiny cramped seating areas for those lucky enough to get a seat plus everyone seemed to have an insane amount of luggage with them but with nowhere to put it. When hundreds of folk pilled on and fought the crowds to find their seats there was absolute mayhem. Everyone was going off their heads arguing about which seat they had booked and the staff couldn't give a fuck. The result was a lot of angry and extremely sweaty pissed off people cramped into this train, they were all miserable but me and my mate just found the whole situation hilarious and spent the whole time laughing and taking the piss. We still talk about it now, it right at the start of our Europe trip and a defining moment where we realised that regardless of what happened we weren't going to let it get to us and we'd have a right laugh about anything.
Good stuff!
