Sorry to burst your doom and gloom Edde is Dedde bubble, but he's in Laos and is fine cos he texted me yesterday. Probably just can't get to a computer or is too busy actually doing stuff instead of telling us about doing. Inconsiderate bugger that he is 8):|:D

in other on-topic news, i've got 3 weeks confirmed off at the end of august/start of september, which ties in perfectly with my mate's offshore rota, so our euro bike trip #3 is a goer, woo hoo!

still no idea where we're going, so a planning session will be required next time i'm home.

always great to have something big to look forward to. :)
 
Indeed. I need to get something more conrete sorted, defo want to go to Oz or travelling somewhere but need something booked or a solid plan to make it seem real, that way I can get excited about it and really start saving properly. It's not going as well as it could be right now despite me not thinking I'm going daft with the cash.
 
Think I'm gonna go to Lao in April for around 6 weeks - 2 months, probably venture in to Vietnam too. I've found a cheap flight to Bangkok, so hopefully I'll be able to blag to funds together. I've been to Thailand so not really that interested in seeing it again, although I'll probably go to Chang Mai on the way to Lao as I missed out last time.

Turkish plane crash in Amsterdam

A Turkish Airlines plane has crashed on landing at Amsterdam's Schiphol international airport, killing nine people and injuring 84, six critically.

The plane, carrying 126 passengers and seven crew, crashed short of the runway near the A9 highway. It broke into three pieces, but did not catch fire.

Three of those killed are crew members. Their bodies have been left in the cockpit while investigations continue.

Officials said it was unclear why the plane, en route from Istanbul, crashed.

The Boeing 737-800 aircraft came down at 1031 local time (0931 GMT), several hundred yards (metres) short of the runway. It had left Istanbul's Ataturk Airport at 0622 GMT.

Happened in Ipanema in Rio..

Just landed back in dublin a few hours ago after a horrible long turbulant flight from sao paolo to paris and then another one to ireland

Have a bit of a sun tan, loads of pics and vids, some mad stories and most importantly hundreds of amazing memories that i will never forget

I have fallen in love with brazil, the scenery, the weather, the traffic, the crime, the charm.. etc

few pics on my facebook if any1 has me on there.. will get the whole lot when i get the memory card off the missus but for now;

Hey RA, I just got back home myself (from the middle east). Feel like a zombie after fuck all sleep........

BTW, Oman is a very nice place...also Dubai is actually a lot nicer now as it's less hectic as loads of fuckers have left and a lot of the building work has been put on hold.

Both places fucking expensive cuz of shitty GBP. Wagyou beef burgers still great. :)

Travelling after 2 hours sleep and too much gack = not good idea. I thought death was a possibility at one point. My heart wanted to jump out of my chest.

It was not pleasant.

And then I came down with flu. But still had 2 days of client meetings and boozing. Which was fucking hard!!! And 2 days ago my kiddie had such a bad gastric bug he ended up in hospital.

Karma coming to get me?????
