As the minute of the time of action approaches, everything is slowing to a decisive point, energy and adrenaline rise, filling the vessel I inhabit.
Waves wash out from my centre pushing against the air of the place in which I dwell, it's walls pushing back at me, the conflict threatens to expel me forcefully from the place.
As time ticks by the explosion is building that will propel me on my way.
Holding focus against the rising tide I must maintain composure, cliched to the end, find keys, pocket my cigarettes, pat pocket to check for money, all together and all ready to go.
Check one, check two, check three and check again, let the door lock, check still have keys and then ready to go again.
I step into the world from the world within and breath ..
Check one, check two, check three and again.
Start moving, expending the compressed energy of anticipation. Step, step, step and try to hold high that full head of yours, step, step, step and breath.
Walking now the expulsion blast roiling behind pushing me on, force behind, destination forward, pushed and drawn, to stop is to be stretched and torn, just keep moving, ride the momentum.
Action and movement bring calm and freedom, I am in launch, gliding, mind temporarily free from concern, free to observe .. and breath, I smoke as I walk.
Moving through the world I notice everything, people, faces, expressions, that strange dirty thing someone dropped and many walked over in the street, I fight to maintain my composure I pull myself up to hold high this full head of mine.
The minute of the time of the event approaches and everything speeds up, frantic anticipation now holds the reigns again, the imminent gear shift and switch of realities threatens trauma to this tensely balanced system.
There's no going back now and indeed no desire either, action has propelled and now arrangement and plans call, a vacuum of expectations draw me on and hope fuels my comfort.
