the THRUTH about codeine cwe. it HAS to be bad for ya health!

OK ive been using codeine of about 10 years on and off. sometimes breaks for years. anyways. that last 2 yrs ive been using it more than ever . sometimes a few times a week. usually 400mg. Sometimes I take a double hit of 800mg.
it sometimes makes my stomach feel uncomfortable. It only gives me mild pain & discomfort but im concerned about organ damage. my liver enzymes are slightly high. & im not sure if its got to do with codeine. I take other meds but I think it's the codeine. I mean 800mg tastes VERY BITTER. sometimes that strong in taste cant be good. my stomach feels queezy. U think the liver enzymes have got to do with the codeine?
i have no choice but to quit it for a while. get a new test & see if its improved. Now if I take 800mg of codeine I use 200mL of water. 1.4g of apap is soluble in 100mL of water at room temp (21 degrees). so that's 2.8 with 200ml. But I put it in the freezer so Id like to know the solubility of apap in 100mL of water at 5-10 degrees.

anyways. anyone else have had any stomach problems from regularly taking codeine. it HAS to be the codeine I rarely touch any other opiates. & I dont take massive doses. some ppl are prescribed a higher dose of oxy or mophine or whatever each day than ive taken all at once. anyways.

anyone else had any health issues with codeine? Is it the codeine raising my stomach enzymes?

your using way too much water im assuming you using panadine forte?? the ammount of water for each tablet should 2ml be so if your having 800mg thats 27 pills 27x2 = 54ml rember the more water the more APAP always measure your dose.i've been taking codeine for about 5 years now on and off until last year when i really got into opiates now i use 900mg dose's of codeine about 2-3 times a week and have been doing this for about a year or so now and so far i have had no problems.lower the amount of water you use and see if that helps

yeah like the above post says lower your water because you may be taking more apap than you realize by doing the cwe incorrectly or something. Or it may be that codeine for you is not as healthy (maybe because of your enzymes) or maybe its something unrelated to the codeine and something else is causing problems.
