What about Depeche Mode? Would you guys qualify them as synthpop?

Yes!!! Depeche Mode are one of the definitive synthpop bands!!!! I think that It's No Good is probably my favourite Depeche Mode track (I included it in my 'alltime synthpop top 10' in the first post of this thread), although 'Enjoy The Silence' is also fucking amazing!!!
