Both my reaction, and the reaction of others, to your post was directed at your diatribe rambling on about hating the way others looked while they were having a good time at a rave. It had nothing to do with anyone being underaged.

I believe that you do not remember your post word for word. But I'm absolutely sure that you DO remember the character and content of your hate post, which had absolutely nothing to do with "concern for the children."

But please, don't mistake my "enthusiasm" as a suggestion I was "upset." I happen to enjoy slaying dragons. :p


Don't try to make it sound as though "we" were criticizing "you" for being "concerned about children." Claiming that your "hate post" had to do with people underaged is "after the fact" self-serving spin doctoring.

The Hari Krishna movement used to be very big here in the US (and also in Canada) in the 70's and early to mid 80's. But it pretty much fizzled out after that.

It's interesting to hear that they are active in New Zealand.
 
Getting "done up" doesn't necessarilly equate to being absurdly self-conscious and judgemental. Getting done up is fun, whether you look hot or silly or both.

Don't forget, many of us go to clubs and enjoy a roll without looking like seizuring monkeys. As a matter of fact, most of the drunk, sharkin' guys I see make bigger asses of themselves. Besides, there is nothing in the world I hate more than clubs that exist soley for the purpose of people to be seen there in their overpriced clothes and could care less about how much fun they're having, especially here in Chicago. Metrosexuality is a socially unhealthy lifestyle in which you get too involved in yourself and you start judging and treating others as inferiors. God forbid you happen to smile or laugh a little more that they do. There are clubs here in which I'd be criticized for having a shirt on from Kohls instead of Structure - not to stray from the subject.

I attended God's Kitchen about a month or so ago (Australia), I saw people dressed up (saw a couple in suits), some in really trashy old clothes & then the people who were in the middle, who were decently dressed.

So eh, IMO, people differ whether they wanna get dressed up or not:\.
 
I love to get done up...very softly. Cozy clothes, fun scarves, comfortable shoes, blinkies, dying my hair. I love the attention from both sexes on E, so I want to look pretty. Of course it works wonders! Because Im comfortable....its more like decorating. Plus its fun to get touched all night cuz your wearing a soft velvety shirt! I get done up for everyones pleasure, not cuz Im worried of what they'll think. FUnny thing is, Ive gotten really friendly with people who are not good looking or flashy. Even phat people....I have an immensly overwieght friend I hugged for an hour last time i rolled! So you dont need the glitz for attention.....ahhhh the beauty of E, right there.
